🐟🦪 La Pincoya

I don't post much original art unless is my persona but I liked this one, La Pincoya is a Chilean legend originated from the Grand Island of Chiloé that fishermen are particularly fond of, it basically goes like this.

The Pincoya has the appearance of a very beautiful young woman with long blonde hair. Legend says that she appears from the depths of the sea soon in the mornings, half-dressed in a seaweed dress, to dance on the beaches and that, through the direction of her dance, she signals whether the fishing will be abundant or scarce in the coming season.

When she dances facing the sea, it means that fish and shellfish will be plentiful. On the other hand, if she dances with her face toward the beach, it indicates that fish and shellfish will be scarce. If the scarcity persists due to the Pincoya's absence, it is possible to bring her back through a magical ceremony involving sorcerers or machis (female mapuche shamans)

When islanders are shipwrecked, the Pincoya may come to their aid.

And I think that's neat :)
