Desert Willow aka Chilopsis (Chilopsis linearis) - I found these beautiful & delicate blossoms & the tree containing them on the grounds of the apartment complex where I live. I’d like to thank my friend Rhyannon for the initial identification. “It is commonly called desert willow because of its willow-like leaves, but it is not a true willow – being instead a member of the catalpa family. It is a shrub or tree native to the southwestern United States and Mexico. It is commonly seen in washes and along riverbanks.” - Wikipedia #DesertWillow #ChilopsisLinearis #Chilopsis #SouthwesternTree #NewMexicoFlora #PhotoByJeriRae (at Casa Rufina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CExx8o5l2Zu/?igshid=14ttznrtiorwm
