In case anyone's worried:
I'm safe, I'm not in the path of any fires.
It just constantly smells like smoke, and I'm tired, and I'm angry. I have family out in Gippsland fighting the fires and I'm scared for them. I know people who will be in danger if the wind turns and have everything packed away ready to evacuate at a moment's notice.
But I'm close enough to the city to be safe.
I'm marching in the Melbourne protest on Friday.
My nanowrimo went to a dark place that hits a little close to home and now instead of writing I'm.... Not. Doing that.
Utena Teacup!!

It's surprisingly small! At least, compared to my other cups. It's frankly adorable.

The whole box smelled wonderful, because of some surprise tea samples! I'm really looking forward to them, especially since I was on the fence about buying some.
(I have so much tea, you guys. You have no idea. I should not be encouraged to buy more 😉)
Now I just need to decide what tea I'm going to use to break in my new cup. I was going to use my rose tea, but now I have actual Utena blends to choose from.......

My @stimtastic Christmas package arrived!
My favourite thing is the gingerbread chewy necklace, honestly that’s what convinced me to buy this and I have no regrets. I love it.
The key lime pie scented vial is super strong. I gave it to my gf because it’s too strong for me but she really likes it.
The spiky balls and glitter wand have nice textures, and the pop toob and coil bracelets/keyrings(?) are fun to play with.
The putty has a good texture, but leaves my hands feeling greasy and the scent is not strong at all - they smell like cheap hand cream. They’re really the only thing I don’t like in this pack, everything else is amazing.
I just took the Canon Homestuck quiz and it said I was a 'true aquaruis'. What the fuck. I don't deserve this.
I'm on the cusp so I'm gonna exercise my right to pick which sign I am.
Honestly I’m having so much nostalgia for Oblivion rn and it’s A Problem because if I go to play it I’m probably just going to spend a week picking out mods and by the time they’re all installed I’ll probably be sick of the game before I’ve even started it up.
I really am disappointed at the lack of TES 6 at Bethesda’s E3 showcase. I know it’s not going to be released any time soon, but I at least want to know that they’re working on it. The only thing we’ve been told about it - two years ago - was that they hadn’t even started pre-production on it yet.
It’s been six years. This is longer than the gap between Daggerfall and Morrowind - when they were producing for console for the first time. This is the longest gap between TES games so far.
One more year and it will be longer than the gap between FO3 and FO4 - and they had FONV in the middle.
Just tell me that it’s coming. That the franchise won’t end with ESO.
So I’m still not very far into Andromeda - I just met PeeBee - but…
I hate the Nomad. I honestly, truly, hate it.
It’s possible that it will grow on me, but so far it’s caused nothing but frustration.
It’s handling feels clunky, and it can't drive over rocks that I could jump-jet over.
The first thing I did after getting the Nomad, was fall into a ditch and spend a good 20 minutes trying to get out, only to fall back in. The bloody thing only barely made it up a hill that you needed to go up as part of the plot. Even with 6 wheel drive engaged it started to slide back down until I hit the boosters. And where are my guns??? Do I have to buy those as an upgrade later? I miss the Mako. I know a lot of people hated it but I would rather drive the Mako for a year than drive the Nomad for a day.
