I’ll be damned. He brought it back to me. Except now he knows my name.

Day 7: Whatever you want :)
Day 1: panic attack + hurt-comfort
It happens quickly. Usually he can feel a build up, the tension slowly crawling up in his body, but this time all it takes is one sentence, four words.
“Maddie doesn’t need you.”
He’s right, Buck’s right. It was inappropriate of him to try and see Maddie, to show up at the Buckley siblings’ apartment with hot mustard, Chinese food, and a movie. Maddie doesn’t need to see him, doesn’t want to see him. They’re taking a moment-- he should’ve called, should’ve texted. He’s not wanted there; Buck must hate him for befriending Maddie’s ex-husband under the guise of “Jason Bailey.”
He doesn’t even ask, doesn’t even try and go see if his sister would want to see him, but he supposes he doesn’t need to. Buck is absolutely right. Maddie doesn’t need him. He almost got her killed.
“Hey, Chim--” Buck starts, feeling a little guilty after watching the color drain out of his friend’s face, seeing the familiar rapid rising and falling of his chest.
But it’s too late, he’s already dropping everything in his hands and running back out to his car.
He can’t breathe, the walls of his car are spinning, and he feels sick.

Day 3 of Chimney week - “Awww….She’s adorable” + future fluff
read on ao3 here
By the third time going through this, Chim really thought he would be a pro. He didn’t think he would still be pacing around the hospital, anxious about what would happen. They said it got easier, but really he just got more worried each time it happened. This would be the last time, he was set on that. No more kids.
