they could

change the controls to make zero the zero key and one the one key

add new inputs over time to make it more challenging

add more unlockables to make it a more rewarding experience

add a time trial

add a competitive single player mode against a bot

add beneficial and detrimental items to spice up the gameplay

add competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes
