नई दिल्लीः 2017 में चीन के साथ डोकलाम में 72 दिन तक चली तनातनी के बाद से ही चीन ने वास्‍तविक नियंत्रण रेखा (LAC) से लगते अपने एयरबेस को मजबूत करना शुरू कर दिया था. चीन की सेना ने लद्दाख के पैंगोंग त्सो से  महज 200 किलोमीटर दूर नगरी गुंसा एयरपोर्ट (Ngari Gunsa) पर फाइटर जेट्स की तैनाती शुरू कर दी थी.

Pentagon: China building deadly force for giving shock to world

New York : American Department of Defense Pentagon has claimed in a report that China, with its modern capabilities in the air, sea, space and cyber sector, to accelerate the world, a strong lethal force Is producing. China is expanding itself to other foreign ports including Gwadar in Pakistan to increase its military presence in the Indian Ocean and other seas.

A Congressional report released by the US Department of Defense on China’s growing military capability says that the efforts of the Chinese army to increase access to commercial ports in Africa, West Asia and South Asia will require the supply of military equipment to the ports in the future.

The People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) will use commercial ports and civilian ships for its international and domestic equipment operations, supplies, repairs. In the report, the Korean Peninsula has been identified as an area where there is instability and uncertainty.

Concerns regarding regional disputes have also been expressed on the border between China and India. Due to border disputes, there was a tense standoff in the controversial Doklam area in 2017. Pentagon said that China is making its first indigenous aircraft carrier. The primary purpose of this vessel will be to assist in the regional defense campaign.

Beijing will probably use this vessel to demonstrate power in the Indian Ocean and South China Sea. The initial test of this vessel was in May 2018 and it is likely to be in the fleet by 2019. A top US intelligence official said that Chinese leaders have considered their long term military modernization program as mandatory for achieving great power status.

Taylor said, “Certainly China is building a strong lethal force with expanding capabilities in land, air, sea, space and information sector, so that it will be able to retain its fears in and around the region.
