Is the China Study reliable?
It is a little bit dated now, but it still remains one of the largest long-term studies on human nutrition that has ever been performed. It proves a clear link between animal product intake and many major diseases, and establishes a correlation between the societies which consume the most meat and dairy and the levels of disease in those same groups. I have some personal issues with it though, it made use of animal testing and it’s still rather surprising to me that so many vegans wave it around as this brilliant study, when animals were intentionally given cancer as part of it. The results were important, but it doesn’t justify the harm caused.
