I just discovered that chinabjd/oueneifs uses fairyland boxes and sends certificates of autenticity?? what did i miss lol
What's the difference between chinabjd and oueneifs?
History time:
Back in 2011 to at very least 2014, AliExpress just wasn't a thing for recasts. You had to place your recast orders by Skype, mail, MSN at best. Pay by PayPal, and wait.
At that time, there was very limited recast sellers that were shipping worldwide, and the best was known as "S/L" (as if in "Steven Chen & Luo Luigi", although pretty sure they had other names and it was a team involved).
Eventually, that society came to be known as "China BJD", and, not long after, Steven parted from Luo (for business management issues they couldn't resolve, and, are unknown for the rest of the western world, as far as I know at least).
Therefore Steven keep the "China BJD" (best recasts in the market) name, and Luo took the name of "Luo Luigi" (poor random quality for most part).
And it's speculated that the quality issues were the reason why the two split.
Later on, as "China BJD" was a pretty generic name, and other brand new sellers were using it to sell bad quality dolls (by confusing the buyers). Steven Chen an it's team made the name "Oueneifs" and filed as their own. So no one else in China could use such name.
But mostly so people wouldn't be confusing their store for other. Regardless of what antis think, reputation is a thing they take quite seriously.
So basically, if you get the real original "China BJD" store and "Oueneifs" store, are run by the same team (possibly divided in two different teams, but maintaining the quality standards and costumer service they're known for), even if they give priority to the Oueneifs store most times, it's the same group of sellers.
Hope this clarify things for you.
I had previously bought a unicorn doll factory doll and while I still love him, I just bought an Oueneifs doll and HOLY shit what a difference! I didnt even know the magnetic hands should have had a locking system or that the dolls could be strung so well!!! I'm simply amazed by the level of quality and detail put into their dolls. And the packaging too! My goodness! To all prospective buyers, Oueneifs prices are worth it!!
This is why people keep accusing this blog of working for Oueneifs, or China BJD, and NO!
I really give the advice I know it's GOOD in my expirience, same as the other mod that's MIA right now.
It's actually worth the couple $$$ you save on unknown stores!
Would it be too much to ask for process of ordering a hybrid from Oueneifs? I just don't wanna make it more complicated than it needs to be. Would I just message on Ali w the head and body I want and they make a custom listing?
They will surely NOT make a specific custom listing for you. I got like five hybrids from them and they usually ask payment on another listing of the same value.
But you can try convincing them if you like.
All my orders came up perfect, even when I ordered by Skype and payed upfront directly. So in that regard I'll only say they won't screw you up. But it's up to you, anon.
I ordered my first 2 oueneifs (ChinaBJD) dolls today, and MY GOD was the transaction smooth and 100% satisfying!!! I had a lot of questions since it was my first order from them, so I wrote a VERY LONG mail (and I feared it was too much) and them? They answered 30 minutes after I sent the mail answering all of my questions and more, without any copy/paste after 3 days like *name of company*, and in a very kind way! I am very anxious when it comes to emails, but with them it was so easy!!!
Oueneifs and ChinaBJD have listed a DIM Larina! (But the photo is not a DIM Larina)
Have you tried asking for a picture from the doll in their private message area? o message them? Their list of dolls it’s very long but they don’t actually have the dolls online at their stores all the time. Sometimes they get confused either for the doll itself or the picture on the listing. Whatever is the problem I’m sure they can clarify it for you.
And just my two cents, it really does looks a lot like Larina to me but with a custom faceup. The angle in these pictures is different but you get to compare most features.
It’s also possible they got a closed eyes Larina and modified her into open eyes (happened before). Ask for more pictures by email, skype or private message, without faceup, that way you can compare the head yourself using a DIM Larina picture.
I've ordered two recasts from Bjd-shop and both of them have been lovely. I've heard some things about ChinaBjd's shop/ shops and started to get curious about potentially ordering from them. Is it hard to contact them and does it have to be via Skype?
Not at all, they’re better than BJD-shop in terms of quality (ChinaBJD also goes by the name of Oueneifs). They already manage english quite well, you can buy from them by Skype if you want (chinabjd8), or email, or Facebook, or even their personal website (or TaoBao if you use an agent, but they’ll charge a fee of course). The best way is their aliexpress stores 1 and 2. If they don’t have the doll you’re looking for just sent them a message and they’ll upload the doll you need.
