...but she's still FALIIIIIIIIIIIN!
(Image description: a set of three cartoony grayscale pencil drawings done in the style of Trogdor the Burninator. The first is a full-body picture of Falin; she is a woman with light hair in a bob who holds a book in her left hand and a magic staff in her right hand. Text reads "Falin was a woman." The second image shows the top half of Falin transposed onto the body of a four-legged dragon with small wings; text reads "I mean, she was a dragon-woman". The last image shows a dragon with two horns, four stickfigure-like legs, and two small wings; it is breathing fire, and smoke comes from its nostrils. Text reads "or maybe she was just a dragon." End ID.)
“This album of music sounds like the cold, cutting air rushing high in the sky between mountain peaks. Humans would hear it in nature if they could bypass the need for a means of travel to such a height, like a helicopter or jetpack. It exists naturally up there, free for the ancient birds and unbound spirits of the wind to hear.”

Image Description: an acrylic painting of a stout dwarven man from the waist up in a semi-realistic style. He is wearing a metal helmet with two curved horns and is holding a tray with a large loaf of bread on it. He has a neutral expression; a large, black beard; and a bushy mustache. The background is a mottled dark red, and a golden, halo-like circle is behind his head. End ID.
As I was making baguettes a few weeks ago, I came to the realization that I should have a painting of Senshi in my kitchen to watch over my culinary adventures...and decided to try emulating the style of older religious icons.
I had a lot of fun painting this, and it's oddly comforting to cook under his beneficent gaze.
If he lived many times longer than the average human lifespan, didn't die a gruesome death in the arctic, and weren't a fictional creation sprung forth from my own mind, it would be Innie's 200th birthday today. Happy birthday to "God's most beloved sailor:" the temperamental swan-coded second mate

have we met before?
Burning through my backlog of oc reference sheets... Meet Lila Campbell, née Murdoch, the Captain's estranged wife.
Lila is a charismatic and gets along with almost everyone. She always dreamed of adventure at sea with her husband, until a surprise baby kept her landlocked and working at her bar. She's a bit headstrong, but will always advocate for herself and others.
Lila Facts
• She kicked Roddy out after resentment from years of leaving her and their son, lan, at the wayside boiled over. He was the love of her life, and she was the love of his.
• She's creative; in addition to making up new drinks for the bar, she can knit!
• A decades-long friendship with Zora Midwinter becomes something more after their former husbands are assumed lost at sea
some recent oc stuff. fantasy of a future captain’s wife / modern au soul roommates / roddy quits the navy
