Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes (Denise Edwards and Chip Fields) in 1973
After escaping from her husband Phil Spector who forbade her from performing, Ronnie Spector reformed the Ronettes in 1973. She initially wanted to regroup with the original Ronettes - her sister Estelle, and their cousin Nedra - but, Estelle was no longer able to perform due to her struggle with mental illness and Nedra was no longer interested, so Ronnie replaced them with two new Ronettes. They recorded for Buddah Records in 1973.
