Spoilers for Grotethe

Do you think Chip envy’s the fact that Barney and Ellga got vengeance but he couldn’t?

By that I mean they got to fight and kill Hugo (at least his body) to avenge themselves and their family, but he couldn’t kill Eddie to avenge his wife.

Hugo was a terrible monster and everyone knew that, their was no moral dilemma in killing him because he was irredeemably unforgivably, vile. Hugo was a murderer, a kidnapper, a slave owner, a child abuser, a master manipulator, he was all of that and more, the world would be better if he was dead and no one would mourn him.

But Chip couldn’t get revenge against Eddie for what he did to Carol, because Eddie wasn’t even a real person, he was the alter ego of a child. Henry had no control over Eddie thus technically making him blameless in Carols death. Not to mention Henry is a child, killing a child to avenge his wife while tempting isn’t something Chip could bring himself to do. He was rightfully furious at the situation but he could never truly avenge Carol because the person who killed her wasn’t a real person.

Their isn’t really a good answer here, Chip either has to let it side and be all “well someone wasn’t themselves so they can’t be held accountable” leaving Carol unavenged as well as the countless other people that got hurt by Eddies actions directly and indirectly or Chip can take his revenge and murder a child in front of his farther.

Neither options are great.
