The Ancients crafted a story to tell to Galacta, saying they had nothing to do with her death and it was instead likely a monster that had tragically killed her while she was out at night on a patrol.
Galacta had intense suspicion of this explanation however, as it just didn't seem like her to wander off especially when there are potentially monsters nearby. She always went with her troop to fight monsters, she would very rarely take them on alone without any sort of backup. So the story didn't add up to him. But the Ancients brushed it off as a tragic accident and despite Galacta's suspicions, he didn't have much proof against their claims.
But this event certainly did not help his relationship with the Ancients at all. It did serve as a catalyst for a galactic crisis that would soon come over them.
