Today in clinic I took care of 4 children who have health insurance thanks to CHIP, these wonderful, vibrant, playful children are just 4 of almost 9 million children who are about to loose their health insurance because a congress let the clock run out on the funding for their healthcare. Without CHIP, in my clinic today 3 children would have gone unvaccinated, 1 would be left without an inhaler, and 1 would not have gotten the antibiotics he needed. Please if you live in the US call you senator and representatives, tell them to continue funding one of the few prices of legislation that has consistently garnered bipartisan support since it's inception almost 20 years ago. #extendchip ....

Специалисты chipworks разобрали умные часы TAG Heuer Connected, работающие под управлением Android Wear, которые были представлены в ноябре прошлого года.

Устройство толщиной 12,8 мм весит всего 52 г, поскольку его корпус изготовлен из титанового сплава. Внутри корпуса находится микрокомпьютер на двухъядерном процессоре Intel, который рассчитан на частоту 1,6ГГц. Для снижения энергопотребления частота понижена до 500МГц. Конфигурация устройства включает 1ГБ оперативной памяти и 4ГБ флэш-памяти.

На плате видны акселерометр и гироскоп, модуль беспроводной связи, поддерживающий Wi-Fi 802.11n и Bluetooth 4.1 LE, контроллер питания, приемопередатчик USB 2.0 и прочие компоненты. Контроллер сенсорного ввода смонтирован на плоском кабеле, соединяющем плату с экраном.

В корпусе микросхемы памяти производства SK Hynix упакован как кристалл DRAM, так и кристалл NAND. Под микросхемой памяти находится процессор, то есть используется упаковка PoP. Процессор Intel SR2AC представляет собой модель Atom T1000 для ультрамобильных устройств.

Специалисты chipworks отмечают качественную компоновку и наличие групп контактных площадок для еще двух микросхем, вероятно, расширяющих возможности устройства. Напомним, спрос на часы стоимостью $1500 превысил ожидания производителя.
