He first met Gary at an aerospace exhibition and later gave Frank a proper tour around Paris. They bonded in friendship since they are both foreigners, currently living far from their home countries. They share a lot things like art and cartoons. Frank later meet Sketchy through Gary though they rarely social to each other do to their cultural differences. It was until during an Akuma attack that involves Ladybug, Chat Noir, Blackwing, and Greyback where his metal bracelet he bought from home broke and discovered that is a Miraculous and came out Ligerro. He and Ligerro joined forces and helped the heroes defeating the Akuma and later introduce himself as Esmeralda Chiribiquete. Frank and Ligerro quickly become friends and partners and become part of Blackwing’s Miraculous superhero team. Weapons: Though a musical instrument, Emerald Chiribiquete’s Pan Flute is versatile with a number of tools like various Miraculous Heroes’ tools. It can be use as a: - Phone/Communicator - Underwater Breather - Telescope - Blow/Dart-gun - Staff/Batons Powers: With “Superluminal”, Esmeralda Chiribiquete can teleport or ‘warp’ to any location instantaneously including mid-air he sees but only mental concentration and only visible his line of vision and in a physical clear straight path. Meaning, he cannot teleport through walls, objects, or living things, or he will bump into them and stop midway. Fortunately, he can use this ability many times until the timer runs out and detransform (5 minutes); perfect for quick travel or quick attacks. The mechanics of this ‘warping’ power is not exactly teleportation or super-speed, it fold the fabric of space-time to propel or push/pull the user to that desired location without moving a muscle. The user can stop halfway between warp-travel but difficult in close-distance which require quick response. Theoretically, the user can warp-travel for miles/kilometers in an instance, even possibly to the Moon, as long precisely where the user want to reappear. It is unclear how exactly fast is warp-travel, but it believed to be at least around the speed of light or lightspeed (186,000 miles per second/300,000 kilometer per second), but can go faster than light especially in Space Mode though likely depending on the user. Relationships: - Gary: Best buddy; first friend Frank meet in Paris. - Sketchy: Buddy; only friend-of-a-friend. Rarely, talk to each other due to cultural differences; such as “Soccer” vs. “Football”. Though friendly refer to him as “Amigo.” - Ligerro: Best Friend and Kwami partner; done a lot things together. - Blackwing: Partner; somewhat leader of the team and close friend. - Grayback: Partner; likes to make fun of his name “Esmeralda”, sometimes calls him “Tweety” or “Chirby.” - Marinette: Friend/Acquaintance; only meet when Gary is around. - Adrien: Friend/Acquaintance; only meet when Gary is around. Notes: - “Ligerro” based off the Spanish word “Ligero“ which means: “fast, agile, swift, (light)weight, airy, feathery”; perfect for a hummingbird. - Hummingbirds are culturally significant across cultures of North and South America. - “Esmeralda” or “Emerald” is also a word for some species of “Hummingbird”. - “Chiribiquete” is the name of a natural region in Colombia where Chiribiquete Emerald hummingbirds live. - Warping ability is based off Star Trek warp drive and Real-Life Alcubierre Drive concepts. - Suggest to me if he should have “Emerald” or stay as “Esmeralda.” Miraculous Ladybug made by Thomas Astruc & Zagtoon Drawn by me
