What if one reason aaravos is so supportive of humans over elves is because he can see the future or possible futures and saw just how awesome human potential could be if given the right guidence and tools while his own kind just kept stagnating in most of them and got sick of them shooting his ideas down and insulting his students. Until they revealed their real reasons wete just simple racist bigotry against humans to his own bitter disapointment.
