I will always always dedicate 'Dan' by Noah Kahan to my best friend @flowersforhesterandjean because she is genuinely the most amazing person and I wouldn't be here without her. I have letters from her on my walls, I have Polaroid pictures of her, we have matching (unintentionally) build a bears and TV girl bracelets and every time I hang out with her becomes a new favourite memory and the best 5 minutes of this shitty old year. I will forever be reminded of her when I see ladybirds, hear Stevie Nicks, Noah Kahan or Queen , watch the dead Poets Society or Project Hail Mary and when I eat flapjacks. Everybody deserves a Dan in their life and I'm incredibly grateful that she is mine.

Losing 2 of my closest friends in less than 6 months fucking sucks man
I can't wait to get out of this shitty house with my shitty parents but then I remember my sister and how I'm going to have to leave her with them alone and how I can't protect her from them when I'm gone.
I don't think my parents understand how fucking horrible it is to be sat in my 11 year old sisters room on the floor with her sobbing into my shoulder and trying to comfort and calm her down while my mother screams herself hoarse and slams doors and screams thst we're selfish and hate her and don't care about her. Or how awful it is to hold her hand as we're both crying while our father yells at the top of his lungs about how were lazy and ungrateful and how he's never going to do anything for us again.
I can't leave lily there alone. But I need to get out of here so I don't end up dead.

For those wondering about the fox. Grace has a subtle motif with this animal throughout the movie, but especially this shot where they pack this toy fox with his belongings on the Hail Mary.
