“That was so scripted, it almost hurts.

Constructive criticism was a good thing, in all honesty. Even though it wasn’t always as easy to deal with it, it was still an essential part in anyone’s road to improvement (and as Hongbin wished to achieve; perfection). The VIXX member had learned how not take criticism too personally, but rather to use it to his advantage. However, there were still times when it was hard to deal with the (sometimes) rather harshly voiced words: it was exactly the case right at that moment.

There had been multiple MCs that day, and although the younger tried very hard to look as natural as possible, he was well aware of the fact that this would often have the exact opposite effect. Still, there was uncertainty: had their leader been talking about him, or about one of his fellow colleagues? Perhaps he had been too busy focusing on being so natural, that indeed it had seemed far too scripted altogether. Many worries slipped through his mind, his eyebrows furrowing into a frown as he remained in silence for a little bit longer. ‘You think so? I thought it went pretty well— I mean, of course there’s always room for improvement, but.. was it really that bad?”

While waiting for his members in the practice room, Jongdae decided to take his laptop and update himself about all the latest kpop videos. He saw that VIXX had a new song called ‘Chained Up’. Being friends with most of the members from the said group, he immediately clicked on the video already hoping for a great song. Once he was through with hearing it and watching the video itself, he took his phone to text his friend congratulating him about it.
