No One Asked For If, But I'm Providing It Anyways pt. 1
Fairy AU Fun Facts/Trivia
• Half-fairy (considered just a fairy) born to a fairy mother and a human father.
• One her favorite resting places when she's small in size is flowers.
• Her room is big enough as it is while she's a human, imagine being a tiny fairy in that room.
° Note: Adrienne's room is exactly how it looks in cannon, just with a bit more plant life.
• She first meets Chloe when they're both about 5.
• She has an easier time sneaking in and out of the house due to being able to shrink down and having some flying ability.
• One of her favorite things to do with Chloe is watch fairy movies and see what humans have gotten right and wrong.
° So far, the most accurate are the Barbie Fairytopia and Mariposa movies.
• Was very surprised when, at the age of 5, she found a fairy sitting in one of the rose filled vases.
• She originally wanted to keep the fairy, named Adrienned as she would later learn, but ultimately gave her back to his father under the guise of having him deliver a rose to Emilie from Chloe.
• She got excited every time Gabriel came to the hotel. Because it usually meant Adrienne was with him.
• Chloe's room, much like Adrienne's, is really big, especially for a tiny fairy. Because of this, Chloe stopped her butler from throwing out her old doll house.
° This is also what began Chloe's hobby of making tiny things. She was getting closer and closer to Adrienne and considered the half-fairy to be her friend. She wanted her to have a place that felt normal for a fairy.
• While she will go on and on about Adrienne, Chloe never once mentions she's an Agreste.
• The day Chloe planned on asking Adrienne out went 0/10, with disaster after disaster. First, there was an akuma attack, so Adrienne had to leave to help Ladybug. Then she had to set her old dollhouse outside to dry after she finished fixing it after months and months of work (and it likely wouldn't be dry for a while, but she was eager to show Adrienne anyways) with full intentions of bringing it back in due to a storm coming that night, and when she was trying to be reminded she pushed it off as nothing, so when the storm came, it suddenly click as to what her Butler was trying to tell her. Because she was so insistent that she be the one to handle it, she wouldn't let him bring it in. By the time she brought it in, the furniture was either soaked or falling apart if not missing completely. The wallpaper was falling off. There was paint running down the outer walls, smearing into each other. All in all, nothing was going how Chloe wanted it to go, so she just starts to cry.
° Yes, Chloe is aware that Adrienne is Chat Noire. She was there where Adrienne first got Plagg and honestly thought the kwami would try to eat her for lunch in her smaller form.
° The dollhouse Chloe was giving Adrienne was the very one she stopped her Butler from throwing out when she was five. She had put it away again as she got older and Adrienne began spending more time with her as her human size. She only brought it out again once she began to realize she was falling in love with her best friend and wanted her to have it. So a lot of the things she was making she had only recently made that year. And the day she was going to show it to her, was when disaster struck, and she was left with a lot of hard work ruined. Had this happened before, yes, she would have been stressed, but she could have worked something out. But no, it had to happen the day she was going to confess. The day she had finally finished setting everything up.
• Is a half-fairy (considered just a human) born to a human mother and fairy father.
• While he's aware of the fairy community, he doesn't know anyone else who is a fairy outside his father, who had left his mother in a mutual divorce.
° He has a good relationship with both parents, but his parents began to slowly learn things about themselves and decided they were better off getting a divorce and finding happiness with other people. Which his mother did find in his step-mother, a kind and funny woman named Esme.
• He finds out through Nathaniel that Chloe's friend is a fairy. He's trying very hard to both get more information out of his boyfriend and not to seem like he was overeager about it.
° Yeah, he can't keep it up. He's very excited when he first meets Adrienne and can just tell when they look at each other that they would be the best of friends (outside their actual best of friends of course, Nathaniel would always be his number 1 best friend, he's his boyfriend, why wouldn't he be his number 1 bestie?)
• He and Adrienne spend a lot of time talking about how it feels to be on different ends of the half-fairy coin.
• Marc has freckles that look like mushrooms.
• When he was younger, Marc wished to have wings like his father, but as he grew, he started to like himself as he was.
• Went into shock the day he walked in Adrienne showing off her wings.
° He and Chloe were partnered in a class project. He was going to her house to work on it. And just happened to enter before Adrienne could a) put her cardigan back on, b) she could shrink down and hide somewhere or c) just leave. Cue the artist struggling to wrap his head around this and laughing while trying not to panic.
• He and Chloe have a, begrudgingly, neutral truce formed when they realize Marc and Adrienne had suddenly become two peas in a pod. When Chloe finally begins to date Adrienne, and they go on double dates, he and Chloe will send each other minor glares, and passive aggressive comments. But other than that, they don't talk much.
• Once he realizes his boyfriend's half-fairy, but considered to be a human (and wow was that a can of worms he wasn't expecting to open or even be available), he puts more care into adding his fairy features to sketches he doesn't share with anyone but Marc. From his slightly more pointed ears to his mushroom like freckles.
° Once he began to notice these features, Nathaniel felt like he was falling for Marc all over again. He was already wonderful. But now that he was learning new things about him? Seeing things he wouldn't have noticed if he had never seen Adrienne's wings and found out fairies were real and that half-fairies could pass as humans if they had human mothers. Marc was becoming more and more fantastical to him. And he was loving every moment he learned about his boyfriend's fairy culture. Marc would always be Marc, but no one should blame Nathaniel for looking at his boyfriend and taking in things he never noticed before.
