Ok so ships and storyline are some what inspired by another story I read on Ao3 (I think it was ‘they set us up’)
So Marinette was emancipated when she was 16 after her parents started to believe Lila, they (Marinette, Adrian, Chloe, Luka, Kagami, Alix) defeated Hawkmoth the same year, and started the band soon after as something to fill the newfound time on their hands, they all wear costumes made by Marinette so no one recognizes them though, they all still have their own thing, Marinette: fashion, Chloe: working with Mari as a business partner, Adrian: Photography, Luka: creating instruments, Kagami: fencing and the family business, and Alix art and extreme sports.
They all move to New York to get away from Paris and start a new, About four years later (they're all 21/22) they’re all well-known figures out of the band but no one knows they’re in the band even though they’re well known around the world.
Chloe and her mother (who are close now) are invited to attend the Wayne Galla, and Marinette was supposed to go with them but she has too much work she can't put off, so the plan changes to just the two of them going.
Anyway, Chloe and her mom go there a few days early, while Chloe is out exploring Gotham she accidentally meets Jon, they get to know each other, and eventually decided to set their two best friends up.
So on Chloe’s side, she convinces the band to go on a tour to every city with a superhero/vigilante, the last two cities being Metropolis and then Gotham.
And on Jon’s side, Jon could convince Damian to go because he wants him to meet his girlfriend plus he could be closer to them as a civilian then as Robin (aka security)
So The meeting, I imagine it’ll happen before the concert starts and Damian is low-key checking Mari out thinking ‘Cute..’
And Mari’s also low-key checking him out back thinking ‘how can someone be so freakin hot?!’
Long story short, after a brief conversation,  him asking her out, and Chloe and Jon congregating themselves with a pat on the back, they’re dating.
