Summary:

Mariam al Ghul died when she was seven years old by order of the league of assassins.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng has lived the last eight years of her life thinking that her twin brother hated her and wanted her dead, and now her class was being forced to go to Gotham, where he lives on a trip. She is not okay with this for a variety of reasons, but guardian duties and whatever hope she has left for her brother compelled her to go anyway.

After all, avoiding both her family and the local vigilantes shouldn’t be too hard, right?

Damian shook himself out of his thoughts. It had been a while since he had gone on a spiral like that. He snorted to himself, of course it was Mariam’s influence that caused it. He continued on, finally reaching the marketing department and watching the students there for a while.

He learned that their names were Alya, Nino, Mylene and Nathaniel. They mentioned that Rose, Alix, and Kim were the ones up front, and offhandedly brought up Juleka and Adrien. He didn’t pay much attention to them outside of that, none of them even vaguely resembled Mariam. Something Alya said just before he left caught his attention though,”Marinette’s in the fashion department if you need help Mylene.”

After the death of Alfred and his resignation from the Teen Titans and being Robin, he fled back to the League of Assassins, to Ra's al Ghul and Talia al Ghul.

But the bird does not simply return to the nest—he has a test to prove his worth: infiltrate the guardian of the Miraculous, learn from them, and become part of the Miraculous Court. So, at 15, he was sent to Paris, to Dupont, where the possible guardian is a 15-year-old Marinette Dupain-Cheng, along with the model Agreste. Can he succeed in this mission to take the Miraculous, or can the cold, bruised heart still heal?
