Chlorofluoro-artist’s Mermay 2018 prompt, Day twenty-seven : Cyclops “A dreadful creature made from the very water, whose attacks are preceded by a storm. Old sailor legends also speak of a single red orb and monstrous teeth , but few ever believed it...” It was really tough and I spent a while searching for the right brushes for the waves, but damn I love the result!

I interpret this as one of the most venomous creatures of the water : Blue-ringed Octopus! (Barely humanoid, but still counts as a mermaid to me...)
