I love the symbolism when Jedidiah and Sydney go for a walk and Sydney forgets his crutches. They just left the cabin, Jedidiah could've easily ran back in and grabbed them for him. But instead of giving Sydney the tools he needs to walk on his own, Jedidiah helps Sydney walk, only to end up hurting him and driving him further away.
