Vernon looked up to see a chubby, tanned guy in his late twenties beaming at him like an old friend as he jogged up to meet him. “Hey, I remember you,” he said, pointing at the guy. “You’re, uh…” He squinted at him, trying to remember when he’d last seen him. “That pizza delivery guy who almost got abducted by aliens!”
“That’s me! Paulo!” the guy exclaimed, his wide smile widening even more upon being recognized. “You saved me from those killer robot aliens last month, remember? And I promised you free pizza in case you ever needed it,” he added. “How’s it going?”
“As usual.” He raised the bag containing the groceries he’d just bought.

b (Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?) - i usually don’t do this because my life has become very dull over the past few years, but counting puppies was inspired by the batch of stray puppers that were delivered on the curb across my apartment building. my brother and i tried to take care of them but unfortunately not many lasted :( but the joy of caring for an animal whether or not you ‘own’ it was an experience i really wanted to share.
m (Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?) - a lot of them are in my wips list but there was a particular cyberpunk + heist + dystopia cheol au i wanted to write...i’m still not sure about it but there’s too much piled onto my plate to think of it rn, but i’d love to write it in the future.
w (Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?) - definitely specific ones! general prompts can give you lightbulb moments but prompts which are just the right level of specific are my favorites. with general ones i tend to either get carried away or hit a wall with my creativity but when someone tells me Exactly what to write without overdoing the specifics, it’s heaven.
