Savor the mouthwatering flavors of chocolate bread pudding paired with a rich raspberry sauce. This dessert has the ideal balance of fruity sweetness and creamy, chocolaty goodness.
Ingredients: 4 cups of cubed bread. 2 cups of milk. 1 cup of heavy cream. 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. 3 eggs. 1/4 cup of cocoa powder. 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon of salt. 1 cup of fresh raspberries. 1/4 cup of raspberry jam. 1 tablespoon of water.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cubed bread and chocolate chips. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Pour the wet mixture over the bread and chocolate chips, making sure all the bread is soaked. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the liquid. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown. While the pudding is baking, prepare the raspberry sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the fresh raspberries, raspberry jam, and water. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the raspberries break down and the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes. Once the pudding is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve the warm chocolate bread pudding with a drizzle of the raspberry sauce on top. Enjoy!
