I’m looking for this fix that had rose and the doctor. They were bond mates and it was discussed how bad it was to lie to a bond mate. At one point rose accidentally lied to the doctor and then for some reason she ran into the 8th doctor and he lied to her.

Rose lying to the Doctor is in  chapter 33 of To Make Much of Time--that’s when we discover lying is bad. 

Eight lying to Rose is in the alt story, But Being Spent. 

And you didn’t mention it, but the one time Ten lies to Rose is in chapter 2 of The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

fanfic writers’ wednesday

ok, if you follow me, you know it’s been a loooooong time since I did a post for FFWW.  But, as I have spent the last few days going back through the archives of these two very special blogs, I figured I’d dedicate a post to them.

I know that for a lot of us writers, especially myself, @doctorroseprompts and @timepetalscollective are extremely valuable resources.  These ladies collect ideas for us, adopt out plot bunnies, and make so many masterposts of frankly fantastic fic.  There are over 300 pgs of prompts, fic memes, and masterposts on each of these blogs and holy crap, that is just amazing.

I’m safely back in Pennsylvania after my fantastic weekend out in Portland to see @chocolatequeennk and David Tennant!! Jet lag is killing me a little though... I’m running on about 6 hour’s of sleep over the last 36 hours. But I had an incredible time!!

I have a horrific toothache (dentist appt made) and the Google says clove oil? But the Google also says clean your dog bed with tea tree oil, so I wanted to make sure first. Just straight clove oil, not diluted in anything?

You can use neat clove oil for tooth ache, just don’t get it on the gums or soft palate or it will hurt like all merry fuck. I once accidentally swallowed a bunch back during the Bad Times of the jawbone infection and scarred my throat, it was not fun. Ever since then I have diluted it with a little olive oil just to avoid the risk of causing significant damage to my soft tissues. One drop per tablespoon of olive oil.

My preferred method is to soak a cotton bud and apply it to the affected tooth directly. It’ll likely burn and taste foul, but clove is an analgesic and if the pain is from bacteria the clove oil might help with that too. Just be careful with it, I accidentally killed a healthy neighboring tooth by doing this too often.

Alternatively some people get relief using vanilla extract cause of the alcohol content. Doesn’t work for me but I’m a weird creature. Even the clove oil doesn’t work anymore.

Salt rinses are also good to help with inflammation and if the pain is possibly being caused by trapped debris. Best of luck!
