Oh, come on. Commit a felony with me. It'll be a good experience, or at the very least a cautionary tale.
Makishima Shogo asking Choe for a date
Makishima Shogo: I help people become criminals to feel joy.
Choe Gu Sung: That’s adorable.
Makishima Shogo: Why are you squeezing me with your body?
Choe Gu Sung: It’s a hug, Makishima. I’m hugging you.
If we went to a Halloween party dressed as Batman and Robin, I’d go as Robin. That’s how much you mean to me.

Would their relationship be public or private?
They are private people. They don’t go to public places much, considering Choe’s psycho-pass, and their partners in crime have a high turnover rate. So it really doesn’t make much of a difference.
It’s not like they have other friends. *laughs*
Would they ever hurt each other intentionally? How ‘bout unintentionally?
Being careful people, they probably wouldn’t hurt each other unintentionally. Heck, Makishima does everything intentionally. XD
Makishima would hurt Choe if it’s necessary, or serves a purpose. Choe would hurt Makishima if it’s necessary, to serve Makishima’s purpose. And I mean physically, not emotionally. But not hurting each other is definitely preferable.
What’s the biggest problem in their relationship?
This is a hard one... They are a very compatible ship, I feel. There’s a lot of trust and understanding between them...
Maybe the fact that Makishima’s a pretentious prick who’s too high up in his head and Choe is 100% sure Makishima’s going to get himself killed soon. The fact that he’s content to let it happen, content to follow along... Well, that says a few things about their individual characters.
Their problem is that they don’t have a lot of other ties in their world. So they sort of just... exist most of the time. Not live.
Also, Choe neither propel or ground Makishima in any way. He sort of just serves. And well... sometimes Makishima really just need a counterweight.
Would they ever take advantage of each other’s weaknesses or use them against one another? How?
Do they have any weaknesses left? I’m not sure... I mean outside of their plan against the sybil system and Makishima’s little obsession with Kogami and the bureau, neither have much to live for.
Oh man, I never read the novels, so I can’t say I have a very deep understanding of Choe’s characterization. (A shame.) So I can’t give you too much details on exactly what happened.
Though... Makishima did find Choe when Choe’s at the lowest point of his life, having just gone through a lot of trauma and lost his sister. And (Choe’s words not mine) Makishima sort of appeared like an angel before him and gave him a purpose.
Is that taking advantage? Well I mean sure Choe does serve Makishima well. But it’s nothing malicious about it. Choe did chose this for himself. He does want to see the sybil system crumble as well. So it’s all very pragmatic of them.
