I literally cannot believe it’s fucking 2016 and I have to write a post telling people to not romanticize or normalize rape, it’s a traumatic event that fucks people up, not a plot device for your ship to be all lovey-dovey and heroic? I have never been so utterly disgusted; the trauma of me and other survivors isn’t there for your fucking entertainment because you want character a to rescue character b from a mean old rapist, and how the potential trauma from that can be fixed with love and romance and cuddles, uwu, happy ending, problem solved? Anyway, bottom line is : rape is not entertainment or a plot device!!
