my favourite choral piece..... ooooohh theres so many to choose from!!! here's a couple of my favourites because i can't pick

i am quite fond of Let My Love Be Heard by Jake Runestad:

it's a beautiful piece, and way it builds is so good!!!

i also quite like By Night by Elaine Hagenburg

i'm biased though because i've sung that one and it was very good

another one i really like is Miserere mei (kinda basic choice but fuckkk that c6 is so good)

some other ones i like but won't link since this is kind of getting long are Mozart's Lacrimosa, Someday (the one from hunchback of notre dame) arr. Mac Hoff (singing that one rn and it's so pretty), and Sancus arr Richard Osman (that one is so fun to sing)

ahhhh!! women's choir started back up today for the first time since before winter break, and my director gave us two new pieces that we'll be performing for our Spring POPS concert. I haven't watched the movie, but my dash is filled with gelphie, so I just found it a nice coincidence.

Yalls being a trans fem choir singer is weird af. On one hand you don’t want to have a low voice, but on the other, you want as large a range as possible, so ya sorts just suffer through subharmonics
