"We are not going to see Rocky Horror again,” Ricky said, crossing his arms over his chest. He had to at least try to look serious so Achilles would actually listen to him.
“But you promised!" they whined, pouting at him, eyes wide and bottom lip poking out. Ricky looked away from their face so he didn't get sucked in. "And Nini wanted to go and I told her I would go and I can’t go without you because you’re the only one with a car."
People usually wanted their exes and their new partners to be friends so things weren't awkward or uncomfortable. Ricky was coming to realize it wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
He scoffed. “I’m not the only one with a car. EJ has a car! Auggie has a car!”
Achilles tilted their head in confusion. “You want me to go see a musical about sex with EJ or Auggie?”
Oh, fuck, he didn't consider that. He sighed. “No...”
“Okay, then let’s go again!” They jumped to their feet, wiggling around with their hands on their hips. "Let's do the time warp again!"
“Nooo," Ricky groaned. "Seeing a musical about sex with you and Nini is probably my own personal hell. And we just saw it. Why do we have to see it again?"
"Because you promised!" Achilles crossed their arms over their chest, seconds away from stomping their feet. "What happened to not making promises you can't keep?"
Ricky shrugged. "I lied. I'm a dirty liar. It's my biggest flaw."
Achilles stomped dramatically, whining like a child about to have a tantrum and Ricky sighed, an elongated, annoyed sound.
"Jesus Christ! Fine! Okay! We'll go!" he exclaimed, throwing his hands up in surrender.
Achilles gasped, then literally tackled him, too busy pressing kisses to his face to check if he was okay. "You're the best. I like you so much. Greatest boyfriend in the world."
"Yeah, yeah," Ricky said, not even bothering to hide his smile. "You're lucky your cute."
