ChoMUN Recap
From April 20th to 24th, 16 members of UCBMUN traveled to Chicago to participate in ChoMUN. Hosted by the University of Chicago, ChoMUN marked the last conference of the 2015-2016 school year.
ChoMUN is an all-crisis conference, so UCBMUN delegates participated in a variety of crisis committees. Committees ranged from the very large (like the Rio de Janeiro Olympics Planning Committee, with 100 delegates) to the very small (like the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General, which simulated the final months of Obama’s presidency). Committees also spanned the globe in geographic region and in historical time, ranging from the Solomon Brother Firm on Wall Street to the Court of Cleopatra in Ancient Egypt.
In addition to committees, the UCBMUN delegation did some sightseeing (including the Bean in Millennium Park and the Chicago Art Institute) and enjoyed some classic Chicago deep dish pizza for delegation dinner. With lots of time spent together bonding as a team, lots of fun, and quite a bit of success, ChoMUN marked a fantastic end to a fantastic year of travel conferences!
