Mysticons Fan Season 6 Episode 11: Choppy Waters
The Mysticons get a call from Queen Truefin, saying that there is trouble in Coral Keep, and she needs the Mysticons' help urgently. They are about to head out, and Queen Goodfey sees them. Upon hearing what's going on, she tells them to make sure they have water-breathing potions. Sharise says that they should be fine, as Queen Truefin can give them mermaid tails, but Queen Goodfey insists that it would be best, just in case Queen Truefin doesn't get to them in time. The Mysticons do so, though when they're away from Queen Goodfey, Arkayna does make a comment about Queen Goodfey is wasting time.
They arrive at Coral Keep, and dive in at the meeting place Queen Trufin picked. They are surprised to find strong currents under the surface, and Queen Truefin isn't there. They drink the water breathing potions, but Em accidently drops hers due to the strong currents, but Zarya catches it. After some struggles, especially from Sharise, who has just learned to swim, they manage to make their way to the palace.
As they get to the palace, they see that many buildings are damage. They eventually reach the palace, where they are united with Queen Truefin, but are horrified to see Queen Truefin's tail caught under some debris, and Kelpie trying to lift it up. They help, and Em asks if she's OK. Queen Truefin says that her tail is slightly injured, but will be fine. She tells the Mysticons that a human mage cast a spell that made the strong currents, and they got a message that the currents will only end if she relinquishes the throne to the jellyfae. She admits that she doesn't know what to do, since she wants Coral Keep safe from the abnormal currents, but is afraid of what would happen if she relinquishes the throne. Kelpie tells her mom that they can't let the bullies win and the Mysticons agree, promising to stop the currents. As the jellyfae would get power, they decide to go there. Kelpie wants to help, but Queen Truefin tells her to stay.
They head to the jellyfae territory, and notice that the current is a lot calmer there. Shortly before they'd reach the jellyfae castle, some jellyfae begin to attack. They manage to fight them off, but Arkayna says that they need to be careful, as there could be more. Zarya looks over her shoulder, and asks what's wrong. She says that she feels as though someone's following them. Piper says she heard something, but guesses that it's probably an animal, as jellyfae aren't big on hiding.
Once they get to the castle, they manage to break in by sneaking through the window of an empty room. As they begin walking through the palace, an alarm goes off. As they begin looking for a hiding place, they see that it was Kelpie who accidently set the alarm off. They manage to hide before a group of jellyfae come to investigate, and once it's safe, Sharise asks Kelpie what she's doing. Kelpie says she wanted to help, and Em says that while she understands how Kelpie feels, her mom told her to stay for her own safety. This makes Arkayna think of the water breathing potions, and makes a note to thank her mom. As it would be too dangerous to get Kelpie to leave on her own, and all the Mysticons should work towards stopping the jellyfae, they let Kelpie stay.
They find a machine, and Em realizes it's continuously casting the spell on Coral Keep. They manage to break it, but when Piper hears footsteps from the distance, they realize that the jellyfae are still looking for the intruders, an that they're quickly approaching the room they're in. The Mysticons manage to hide Kelpie, but when Tazma and Ogart, the jellyfae leader come, they are captured.
While being escorted to the dungeon, Sharise demands to know what they're doing. Ogart says that Coral Keep will be part of a large kingdom that serves the spectral hand, and Tazma adds that everywhere in Gemina will worship the Spectral hand. Zarya asks what the Jellyfae will get out of it, and Ogart says that they'll be the head of the Coral Keep, provided they worship the spectral hand. Kelpie, who has been following the group, helps create a distraction, and after a fight, the Mysticons are free and manage to escape.
They get back to the Coral Keep, where Queen Truefin is angry at Kelpie for sneaking off, but is relieved to see that she's unhurt. She thanks the Mysticons for keeping Kelpie safe, and the others admit Kelpie helped save them, with Piper adding that Kelpie saving the Mysticons should make it so she would no longer be punished for sneaking out. Queen Truefin says that Kelpie will only be grounded for one week, not two like originally planned. Despite everything working out, the Mysticons are still troubled by the revelation of people wanting to use the Spectral Hand to control the realm.
Meanwhile, Mallock is angry at Tazma for ruining his first conquest. When Tazma retorts that he didn't do anything to get Coral Keep, but rather used Tazma and the jellyfae, Mallock becomes even more angry. He says that there might be some use for Tazma, and shoves her in a strange machine. When she's out, she appears tired and weak, and Mallock says that he has Tazma's magic now.
I’m always grateful that the place I go when I’m having suicidal thoughts is so breathtakingly beautiful; the peacefulness always seems to cleanse my misty mind.
