I started the @oprah @deepakchopra @chopracenter meditation challenge last week because part of my healing work is doing more things my ego likes to avoid and one of those things is #meditation . I don’t like it because I feel like I’m not good at it. But this weekend when I lay down to meditate I had this idea of just taking note of my mind wandering instead of being a dick about it. . Instead of being angry at myself for letting my mind wander just noticing my natural inclinations towards mind wandering and then gently coming back to my mantra for the day. . I think the point of it is the practice itself. So in day to day life I can be more aware of when my mind is wandering and I can catch it and bring it back to the present moment. . If I’m cuddling with @byronimo and @youre.my_boy.blue then let me be fully there instead of off in my head. . If I’m waking in nature, let me be fully there breathing in the air, feeling the wind on my face. . Whatever I’m doing gently reminding myself I have no where else I need to be but this very moment. . What is your minds natural inclination? Does it wander a lot?
