TL;DR Version: The OMG Burger from @GrubBurgerBar is a hedonistic delight and their salted caramel shake is perfectly balanced. If your diet has a cheat day, this is a good meal to spend it on. Full Review: Grub Burger Bar already has a very creative menu, but they also run a special “market burger” and “market shake” on their bimonthly Market Menu. The current market burger (January-February) is the OMG Burger, which is their standard hamburger covered in skinny french fries, chili, and chorizo queso. The bun isn’t a traditional hamburger bun, but a thicker roll that is lightly toasted. I could do without the roll since I prefer a softer bun, but it doesn’t ruin the burger for me. The thin-cut fries are perfect for this set up since it’s possible to pile them high without seeming too heavy and they allow chili and queso to filter into all the crevices of the little fry nest on top of the patty. The chili and queso are perfect. The consistency is even and it sticks so it doesn’t all fall off the fries. I can only assume this took years off my life, but for a “treat yo self” moment it’s a great choice. I opted not to get their market shake (the turtle brownie shake) and instead went with an everyday menu item: the salted caramel shake. Some restaurants will screw up a caramel shake by adding too much caramel and making it overly sweet. While this shake certainly tastes like caramel, it balances that taste expertly and the result is as close to ideal as you’re likely to find. #InstaReviews #FastFoodie #ChiliCheeseBurger #TreatYoSelf #SaltedCaramelShake #OMGBurger #GrubBurgerBar #MarketMenu #ChorizoQueso (at Grub Burger Bar)
