I don't think complete political or philosophical consensus is necessary to find Chris Hannah's lyrics to be among the most intriguing and personal in popular music, let alone "punk rock". Every track a goldmine of aphorisms. (So, an aphorism mine?)

Some punkers have been turned on to Rush (or at least to their Grace Under Pressure album) because of the reference on Propagandhi's "Things I Like" from 2012. Maybe 2 or 3. But that's 2 or 3 people! This time it's me being made aware of...this song, this guy:

The original recording's got such a typical '80s sound. And already many comments saying something along the lines of "Propagandhi brought me here". 🥹

Lots of overdubbing, echo and chorus effects were applied to create the "wall of sound" that other bands hired, well, a band, to create!
