Random, but violets are my favorite thing ever. Seriously. I love them. This was lovely. :)
Choward’s Violets are the quintessential cheap candy of subway snack and mag stands. I can see a nun with a sweet tooth being into them-- they’re inexpensive, have been around forever, and are always, always well stocked.
They have such a distinctive smell when chewed on. It’s bound to stamp itself in your mind, especially if you’re a child with a superhuman sense of smell. And the person chewing on them is kind. Then you remember forever.
