“Humiliating”: Denver City Council candidate had to crawl on debate stage due to lack of wheelchair access

“It was a choice between my campaign’s viability or my dignity,” Denver City Councilman Chris Hinds told The Denver Post.

Beyond disgusting. Shame on the organizers and shame on the other candidates for not having the decency to refuse to participate in the debate until the organizers set up the stage on the floor.

Oh they did eventually move the debate to the floor AFTER they basically forced this man to crawl onto the stage because they couldn’t get his wheelchair on the stage.
