This is the most ridiculously abstract image I have ever made of a natural phenomenon. Anoxic bacterial colony in stagnant seawater. Like God painting with death.

Shot a little short last week, always a pleasure to work on a passion project with good people.

The River People
Strange creatures live in Florida’s spring-fed rivers. Some people call them mermaids and mermen, I call them The River People.

Revised Link: Dana Plays was kind enough to shoot and edit a lecture I gave on lighting at UT. Fun to see yourself in action when you don’t usually see from that vantage.
Really happy to have met and worked with this great Florida family. Such nice people. Plus, they have a compelling reason why you might consider Obama.
And for my friends who support the President, I serve you this, a series of well-made mini-docs showing why real people are choosing Obama.
My republican-leaning friends might find this Citizens United documentary, "The Hope & The Change" to clarify or solidify their beliefs. And yes, I shot a bunch of it.
Just found this one in a GoPro Sequence from last summer's Sunset Series races at the St. Pete Yacht Club. We're on Shutterspeed, USFSP's trusty old Tartan 10. How many 1000 things are there to love about these mighty little cameras. Just set them and let the awesomeness happen.
