Scully's mother died in the X-Files episode Home Again that first aired on February 8, 2016. It was Sheila Larkin's first appearance back since the episode Provenance that aired in 2002. She was the last of the parents who raised Mulder and Scully to die on the show. The episode was written by Glen Morgan whose last episode he penned was Never Again that first aired in 1997. Morgan also penned the episode that saw the death of Scully's father (Beyond the Sea 1994). Thematically, some consider it part of an emotional trilogy for Scully made up of Home, Never Again, and Home Again. The episode marked the first time Charles Scully was heard. It was also said that this was the first time Scully called Mulder Fox since Tooms (1994). ("Home Again", X-Files, TV Event)
#OTD in 2005:
Sarah: “What is she saying?”
Marshall: “I don’t know. She’s not saying anything. I don’t know what to do.”
Sarah: “I feel like she’s saying...”
Saul: “Alright, the show’s over. Let’s give her some privacy. Everybody out. Let’s go back to the Ward Room & we’ll talk about the business of how we proceed from here.”
Laura: “Thank you all for coming. I have a statement I’d like to make. The attempted military coup against the lawful Government of the Colonies is illegal, ill-advised & clearly doomed to failure. I have not resigned the Presidency & I will fight this action with everything at my command.”
Saul: “She’s crazy! She’s nuts! She thinks she’s a Prophet or some such nonsense. Go ahead & ask her. Ask her, she’ll tell you. Just listen to her. What was it? The Arrow of Apollo will open the Tomb of Artemis, or some nonsense.”
Laura: “Everything I have done is consistent, logical. We have found Kobol. We have found the City of the Gods. And when we retrieve the Arrow, we will open the Tomb of Athena & we will find the road to Earth.”
Sarah: “Madam President, have you read the Scrolls of Pythia?”
Laura: “Carefully & many times & I humbly believe that I am fulfilling the role of the leader.”
Saul: “Okay, enough of this nonsense. Everybody out.”
Marshall: “I don’t think so.”
Tom: “Wait a minute. Wait! Sarah, you represent Gemenon, you know more about the Scrolls & the Scriptures than anybody else here. Why don’t you speak up?”
Sarah: “The Scrolls tell us that a dying leader will lead us to salvation.”
Saul: “She’s not dying, she’s crazy.”
Laura: “I am dying. I have terminal breast cancer. Dr Cottle will verify the diagnosis. I have a few months to live. And in that time, I will lead the people to salvation. It is my sole purpose.”
Sarah: “Praise be to the Gods. Here is our salvation.”
Saul: “Sergeant of the Guard!”
Guard: “Yes, Sir?”
Saul: “Remove these people from the brig & escort them back to their shuttle.”
Laura: “Thank you Corporal.”
Venner: “Thank the Gods.”

Rogue - Di Amorim by ChrisShields

Dir. Lindsay Denniberg
"As far as The Young Ones goes, the only really likeable character is the one nearest to cartoon - Vyvyan. I think that's probably because - and this is no insult to Ade - he is the most amoral. Not immoral, morality doesn't come into it; it's almost like he has no brain, he's just two dimensional, he 'does', he doesn't think, and he often 'does' because the other characters are so unpleasant. He gets to inflict pain on others, it's almost like a punishment and the audience side with him. Vyv delivers the punchline - I'll be shouting and screaming about something and Vyvyan will come up and whack me and that's the conclusion, that's the punchline, literally. That's probably why he's the most likeable - because there's no consideration, no thinking behind it, no morals, he does what the audience wants him to do."
