sometimes ashley wonders if she should feel guilty for how much she relies on chris. she knows he doesn’t mind ( or she hopes not?? ) but it’s a nagging thought she gets every once in awhile. she’s had a lot of intrusive thoughts since the mountain though. they get difficult to muddle through, some days more than others, and she often finds herself lost in them. it’s how she’s ended up in this position, wincing when she applies the barest hint of pressure on her throbbing ankle. that’s what she gets for not paying attention when she’s walking off a damn curb. it’s stupid. she feels stupid.
