I don't mind Christian music, I have a few artists I absolutely love, but I hate having to listen to it against my will. It's the worst form of proselytizing in my opinion. I don't have a car and Uber is my only way to get around safely and efficiently in my town. And probably 70%of my drivers listen to z88.3 in their cars, which is our local "positive hits" "family friendly" Christian station. They talk all about how you should bring your friends to christ through their music, how much their station is good for expanding God's army etc. And I always ask then to change the channel, or turn off the music, but usually they say no and I am ignored. I don't mind if you want to listen to music, it's your car, but forcing someone to listen to religious music is not okay.

May I just say concerning the issue with homosexuality and such in the church you went to that I am here for you, and I hope that all goes well for you always. You are unique, you are important, and you were made by God, and you have love in your heart that boils for the truth to be heard! That love is special in its own way, and that they should not say such things! Stand proud, and never give up!

I'm currently dealing with a very similar problem as to the tweet string you just reblogged, and I am so so sorry that you have to go through this as well. It sucks and I wish it wasn't something anyone had to go through.

Coming from a Christian the argument that Homosexuality is a sin and because of this it should be shunned and illegal is a rather invalid argument. We all know that everyone will continue to comit sin, but at the same time we believe that Jesus died on the cross to forgive us of our sins. That would mean that "if" homosexuality was a sin that it was already forgiven. Just remember this if anyone tries to use that argument.

Oh good god.... GOOOD GOD. Ok so I hate this man... I HATE THIS MAN.

So I know that most of tumblr isn't really into the whole Christianity thing, and that's cool. But right now I'm going to talk from a Christian stand point.

Judging others is wrong. (While many Christians do not understand this). HOWEVER... if you are going to put yourself into a place of authority in a church... you better bet your sweet ass you need to act the part.

This man has been arrested TWICE for impersonating a peace officer. Check that... TWICE. He has blue lights in his car that he has used... and he sees nothing wrong in what he did. And even this second time when he was arrested, he went off to another state when the cops tried to catch him. He tried to evade the cops.

Apparently from what I read from someone else he has also been telling people in jail they need to come to his church because of the "pretty women". Hahahahah... ahahaha... haha... no. NO NO no NO noNoNOnOnoN No NO! You go to church for god. And you can be DAMN sure that you do not talk someone else into going to church so they can objectify the women who are going there to worship.

Oh and the big kicker... HE IS A YOUTH PASTOR! THE WOMEN HE WOULD BE TALKING ABOUT ARE YOUTH! TEENAGE GIRLS! And he is using them as some blinking light to drag men who have been in prison to church.

I've been to En Fuego and he has talked there. And I hated it. I'm a good person... and at that time I was an even more spiritual person than I am now. And even so, he was able to sneak into my mind using guilt tactics to almost put me in tears because I didn't have money for tithes. That's right.... not feeling guilty about actually not being as close to god as a Christian should... but because my money was up next to my church pastor, and not in my pocket in the crowd and I wasn't about to leave my spot, so I didn't tithed.

I don't truth this man, I don't like this man... and it sickens me that people are still welcoming him with open arms to preach to their youth.

Am I allowed to offended by a funeral sermon?

Here I am sitting in this funeral and little old Hindu me is analyzing all these Christian hymns. This wasn’t what I was offended by but they make life seem so awful and pointless and the only good thing about it is death which idk but I think there are a lot of good things about life that are better than death or “heaven”. And then they said heaven was a place of endless joys which I don’t know about you but that doesn’t sound that great. It sounds like sloth actually. The joy of life is the struggle. The work to become better and become closer and overcome problems and become better people. What would you do all day in heaven? Sit around and watch tv? But Christian hymns aside, I was sitting there listening to the man and he begins to talk about other religions. And he said that other religions would be confused or disturbed by what is going on here because other religions do not understand how to celebrate a persons passing and all they do is grieve. But he didn’t just say this, he yelled it on the top of his lungs. And I wasn’t expecting if and it just rang through my ears and I was just about to stand up and tell the man no. And I looked at my brother (he’s an atheist) and he just had this annoyed look on his face. I AM RIGHT HERE. I AM A HINDU WOMAN WHO IS NOT DISTURBED BY YOUR PROCEEDING BECAUSE I FULLY UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF CELEBRATING A PERSON MOVING ON. In our religion, which you may so conveniently forgot about, there is something called reincarnation and I don’t know about all Hindus but West Indians celebrate that. But then there’s more. He talks about other stuff for a little bit and I calm down ‘he’s an old white man he probably doesn’t know very much about other religions. Since he’s the pastor he probably thinks he can says whatever in his church it’s okay. Don’t worry about him.’ But then he starts yelling again. And he says ‘ONLY IN CHRISTIANITY WILL PEOPLE FIND SALVATION.’ And he goes on about how there is only an afterlife or anything after death in Christianity. Then of course “Christianity is the only way.” And I was just so upset again. This man has died. He was already a Christian. Stop with whatever you’re doing and just talk about him or him being in heaven or whatever but now is not the time to promote Christianity. (AND THERE IS AN AFTERLIFE IN PLENTY OF OTHER RELIGIONS. EXAMPLE: ME.) But that idea is just so awful for me. Sermon time is not the time to put down other religions and bring up your own. You would never hear in a Hindu temple “Hinduism is the only way!!” No. You will hear them praying and asking for blessings and that is it. In a Hindu wake after someone has died, they ask for blessings and sing and never is there a mention of any other religion. Nobody cares if there is only an afterlife in Hinduism (which I’m sure is not true) but it doesn’t even matter. If I marry my juni bear I really hope he doesn’t make me go to Catholic Church oh god. I will be so upset after every single sermon. And he wants our ushio to be catholic! No way. For a child, a monkey god and elephant god and a blue man is so much cooler than a old white man. But Christianity is just frustrating to me. I don’t understand any of it.
