“He’s just a Christmasaurus, the only Christmasaurus”
I booked these tickets for my brothers 6th Birthday waaaaay back in January. So we have waited one whole year to see this bad boy of a show. 12 whole months!!
But finally the day arrived, the 23rd December! Up at a silly time (for a Saturday) and my mum, 6 year old brother and I drove to Rugby (about 30 minute drive from Leicester) and hopped on a train down to the big smoke.
On arrival we decided to head straight to Hammersmith and mooch around the area near the theatre. I think that’s just me being anal about being on time and knowing that we know where we are going. If that makes sense? It does to me anyway.
After grabbing a good ol’ meal deal we crossed the road and we had arrived, literally.
By the time we had gotten there, we only had about 30 minutes to wait until it was time for the doors to open.
In the mean time I saw and had a quick catch up with 2 old friends of mine, whom I use to work with.
After getting inside, buying a programme and nipping to the loo the auditorium doors were open and it’s safe to say all 3 of us were curious about our seats and their view…
We had a great view of the stage, sat at the back of the stalls. With Oscar fidgeting impatiently, urging for the show to start, the lights dimmed and the band all warmed up (we could hear but not see them)…
The show was startiiiing!
I mean, I knew this was going to be amazing but my gosh; it was FANTABULOUSLY AMAZING!
Oscars face was in total awe the minute Tom Fletcher stepped out on that stage. He has been so busy obsessed with Tom and all that he’s involved in these past few months, and I mean OB-SESSED! It’s rather cute, yet weird all the same. But then again I am probably to blame as I’ve always been a fan of McFly, so yano.
“If you think dinosaurs are extinct. Well open your eyes and you will find, he’s one of a kind”
Anyway, back to the show. I didn’t really know what to expect as it wasn’t a musical, yet wasn’t a concert or a pantomime. So what was going to happen was anyone’s guess.
What the team created was simply perfect! Tom Fletcher did not let us down!! It worked, so well; with telling the story (the brief, summarised version) and having the cast come in and out of character, to add some light and shade to the show along with some natural comedic moments.
I would recommend you guys to go see this at some point. However, it is only available to watch until the 27th December… so it’s a limited time only folk! But if you didn’t get tickets or have the time to go and watch, I’m sorry to say it but you missed out!
Although if any of you want to make a last minute trip to LDN to see this spectacular show head over to https://www.eventimapollo.com/events/detail/the-christmasaurus-live-on-stage#SKXi7Kx01u7z9YaH.97

After heading back to Piccadilly to show Oscar all the Christmas lights, we had a Pizza Hut, ooh-ed and ahh-ed at the Christmas decorations around Covent Garden before heading back to the train station and finally, home!
Such an awesome way to spend Christmas Eve Eve with my mum and youngest bro and seeing him see his idol on the stage for the first time was just too cute!
On a final note I just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy & healthy New Year!
Until next time,
Han x
