70:Opinions on natural horsemanship?]
I am not a fan. I have seen so many horses ruined with “natural horsemanship” its not even funny. It is simply another form of dominating your horse to make them do things for you, so I do not see how it is any better than using artificial aids. I would take spurs and a stud chain over drilling fear and aggression into a horse any day.
71:Give me one horsey confession?
I used to be a very, very nervous rider. Jumping terrified me. I still have trouble jumping on horse’s who are known refusers, because I have been thrown off soo many times and I find stops and run outs hard to sit. I have trouble trusting horse’s, but over the last couple of years I have become a ton more confident in my abilities as a rider.
72:Is there something you don’t like about your riding?
I’m really mad about my eq right now. I feel like I look terrible, although I may be effective, all the time.
73:What’s one unpopular horsey opinion you have?
Horse’s shouldn’t be started younger than 3.
Haha she tried to buck me off the first time I rode her, so she can, and she does when she is loose (holy massive bucks), but since the first day, she hasn’t bucked under saddle. (:
75:Is your horse head shy?

78:Is your horse photogenic?
HAHA NO! She is terrible! The minute the camera comes out her ears are back and she looks like a total derp. Photoshoot this weekend should be interesting….
79:Favorite barn chore to do?
80:How many times do you ride a week?
At the moment 3-4, but it should be upped to 5-6 soon.
81:Who is your favorite pro rider?
Charlotte Dujardin, Eric Lamaze or Reed Kessler
82:Who do you idolize in the horse industry?
Pretty much everyone who is at the top of the sport and can actually ride.
83:Crest or auto release?
Depends on the horse and the rider. I think crest releases are good for young horse’s, inexperienced riders or riders who have not developed a great balance, and the hunter ring where the horse needs to be able to use itself full over the fence. I think auto release’s are good for the older or hotter horse, the more advanced rider, and the jumper and eventing disciplines.
84:If you could ride any famous horse who would it be?
85:If one pro rider could train you for one day who would it be?
86:What breed is your horse?
Canadian Warmblood - QH, TB, Belgian & Percheron
87:Tell me everything about your horse.
That would take forever! Some things….
She loves to roll, and will roll while you are riding if she is really hot.
She loves treats and knows a lot of tricks, but her owner doesn’t really know how to ask for them because she didn’t teach her them haha.
She loves banana’s, skin and all.
If there are jumps set up and she gets bored, she will jump them.
She is pretty much totally unfazed by lunge whips, and sometimes you actually have to smack her with it to make her move. (horse abuse, I know)
She gets herself into trouble all the time but is totally relaxed when she does.. She was even pulled out from under a fence by her ears once because she wasn’t wearing a halter lol.
She will probably grow another 2-3”, putting her at 16.2-16.3hh.
She has jumped 3’6 with a rider and 4’6 without.
She would take people over horses any day.
She will jump out of fields, stalls, arena’s, you name it, no matter how high the fence is.
88:Favorite facial marking?
I really like pretty blazes and big stars… Well actually, I like most facial markings!
89:Leg markings or no leg markings?
90:Proudest equestrian moment?
Winning 2nd at Spruce Meadows out of 45 people on a pony no one had any faith in. Even the barn owner said she didn’t know why I bothered entering, if I wasn’t going to ride the horse she wanted me too.
Thank you! Who needs to do homework anyways. (;
