“DADDY!!!”
You smiled as you saw your girls run towards Dean, wrapping their little arms and legs around his legs as he walked into the kitchen. He had gone out to the store to buy a few extra things for the current baking fiasco going on.
“Hey! What are my favorite bakers doing?” he chuckled as he struggled to reach the kitchen counter to drop off the paper bag in his arms.
“Mommy let us help make cookies,” replied your eldest daughter as she removed herself from her dad’s leg.
“And we gots to paint cookies!” exclaimed your youngest.
“Wow, will I get to see these painted cookies?” Dean asked as he kneeled down to the girl's level.
“They in the oven right now,” they answered in unison.
“Good,” he replied with a wide grin. “Now, why don’t you two go help Uncle Sammy, Auntie Eileen, and big brother Jack decorate the library? We need you two to make sure the tree is perfect.”
“YAY!” they screamed as they ran out the kitchen, still wearing their flour-coated aprons you had made a few weeks ago.
You chuckled at Dean as you finished the final touches on the apple pie you were making. You felt Dean wrapped his arms around your waist, his chin on your shoulder.
“Hmm, bet that’s gonna taste delicious once you’re done.”
“Mhm, but it’s not for you.”
“Who else here loves pie like me?” he questioned teasingly.
“The girls thought that maybe Santa enjoys pie just as much as Daddy does,” you giggled in response as he tickled your tummy. “Now stop before I ruin this beauty.”
“So, if this is meant for Santa….”
“I set up the Santa costume in the Dean Cave and locked the door to make sure the girls don’t see it. I really hope Santa enjoys the pie,” you teased as you turned in Dean’s arms, relishing the warmth he was emanating.
“Oh, I bet he will love that pie. I know I love your pies,” Dean smiled down at you as he pecked the tip of your nose.
“Now, be a good boy and put this pie in the oven since the cookies should be done,” you beamed as you turned to grab the pie and hand it to him. “And dinner will be ready in another hour so I suggest you go help the four out there with the decorations before Cass gets here.”
Dean chuckled deeply as he took the pie from you, moving to the ovens to take the cookies out to put the pie inside. He placed the tray of cookies on the kitchen counter right next to the already cooling first batch. He walked towards you and pulled you into his arms, placing a sweet and gentle kiss on your lips. Once he broke free from you, he smiled, caressing your flour-covered cheek.
“Love you and Merry Christmas, babe.”
“Love you too, and Merry Christmas.”
After dinner, Jack and the girls went to his room to watch Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer while Cass joined them to see what the excitement was for a cartoon movie. Sam had taken Eileen to rest in their room, her second trimester being a little rough on her. It was just you and Dean in the Dean Cave, you laid across the couch, wrapped in a blanket with your head in his lap at you watched Die Hard, a Christmas tradition you both started after your move into the bunker. Even before Dean asked you to become his girlfriend, you both enjoyed watching the movie on Christmas, both sharing in agreement that it actually was a Christmas movie. Even when you were two months away from popping out your second baby after your marriage, you both couldn’t miss out on the set tradition.
And once the movie rolled its credits and Cass entered the room, the newest tradition was about to set in motion.
“The girls fell asleep in Jack’s room before the movie could end,” Cass told them as he sat across the room in the recliner.
“Jack needs help getting them to their room?” you asked as you were about to get up.
“No, he said it’s alright if they stay in his room. Plus, they are far enough to not hear Dean.”
“And, that’s my cue to get dressed!”
You giggled as you sat up, Dean getting up and heading to the closet. Inside was the Santa suit you had bought a few years ago as a joke. But after your first daughter’s curiosity involving Santa, the suit became a permanent member in the bunker.
“At least I won’t be the only one having to wear this thing soon,” Dean grunted as he got into the suit, not removing his clothes since the suit was huge.
“I mean, we may have to get Sam a whole new suit. He is too tall to fit into yours,” you replied as you wrap yourself in the blanket.
“Well, you and Eileen can handle that when the time comes,” he replied with a kiss on your forehead, putting on the beard and hat. “How’d I look?”
“Just like Jolly Saint Nick,” you responded with a giggle.
“Well, not really,” Cass interrupted. “By the images, I have seen everywhere, he has a round belly and red cheeks…”
“Alright we get it, Cass,” Dean replied in annoyance as he grabbed the velvet bag of gifts, throwing it over his shoulder. “Better had put that pie out because I plan on eating that whole thing.”
“Girls made me cut a piece out onto a plate, but it’s all yours babe.”
Dean walked out of the room with a huff, trying his best to walk quietly in the black boots. You got up from the couch and wrapped yourself tightly in the blanket.
“Let him know I went off to bed, baking and cooking took out all my energy.”
Cass nodded and gave you his typical kind smile.
“Have a good night Cass and Merry Christmas.”
“And a Merry Christmas to you, too.”
It was Christmas morning and you were waiting for the girls and Jack to finally wake up. Dean had made due with his promise about eating the entire pie, and you were thankful you had gotten a picture of it before since you didn’t want your hard work on the pie crust to disappear into his belly. Dean came into the library with two mugs of coffee in hand, handing one to you as he sat next to you. Sam and Eileen joined the both of you, sitting right across. Dean and Sam were in deep talk about a possible case and you were talking to Eileen about her pregnancy when Jack and the girls ran into the library, screaming for joy.
“PRESENTS!”
You laughed as they ran straight for the tree, Jack right behind them like the child he was. But your eldest looked over at the small table you had set up last night with the cookies, milk, and pie for Santa. She walked over and noticed the half-empty glass of milk, the few missing cookies and the empty pie pan and plate. She turned to look at you with wide eyes, the shock clear on her face.
“MOMMY! Santa ate all the pie!”
“Well, it looks like Santa loves pie just as much as Daddy does,” you replied with a wink and grin.

You stood back in the darkest corner of the hall while you watched the fans sing along with Richard and Rob as they sang Holly Jolly Christmas. It was a week before Christmas and the Supernatural cast was doing their last convention for the year. You were supposed to be out in Paris for a fashion show your new plus size clothing line was highlighting in, but you really miss your man after being away from him for the past four months because of work. You hadn’t told him about your arrival just in case you weren’t able to make it, but after the phone call with Gen. you knew you had to make it to the convention.
“Gen told me you were supposed to arrive tomorrow,” Jared’s voice interrupted your thoughts.
“I caught an earlier flight and came straight here once I landed,” you replied, smiling up at him.
“Well, good thing you arrived tonight. Jay was planning on leaving tomorrow to Paris right after our photo op. Took a lot to convince him to wait on buying a plane ticket.”
“What time will you guys be heading back to the hotel?”
“If it all ends on time, we should be back around eleven. Everyone wants to at least have a few drinks before we head back since a few cast members are leaving in the morning.”
“A few drinks?” you asked cautiously.
“I know Gen told you he was drinking a bit more than usual because of your time apart, but I promise I won’t let him go back drunk to the hotel room,” Jared responded with a chuckle as he pulled a card out of his jeans pocket, handing it to you. “He really misses you, ya know.”
“Yeah, same here. But seriously, don’t let him get drunk, I’ve got some news to share and I need him sober.”
“I’ve got ya, darling,” Jared winked at you, causing you to smile.
That’s when the crowd broke out in applause, causing you both to look up at the stage to see Jensen walking across it, waving at the crowd. You felt your heart warm at the sight of him. Compared to the constant Skype calls, they were nothing to seeing him in person. He sat on a stool next to Rob which had a mic in front.
“I need to go backstage, but have fun tonight and make sure he is at least ready for midday tomorrow. Good luck with the news.”
You smiled at Jared as he walked away towards the door he used to get to you. You turned to look back at the stage as Jensen spoke.
“Well, hey there everyone! Hope y’all enjoying tonight’s music.”
The crowd went wild with screams as he took the guitar Richard handed him.
“Since Christmas is right around the corner, we all thought it would be fun to just sing holiday songs. But I gotta admit, I’m not feeling so great this season.”
“WHAT’S WRONG JENSEN?” someone screamed out from the crowd.
“Well, as you all know, (Y/N) my girlfriend, is currently in Paris for a fashion show that is presenting her new clothing line,” he replied, which caused the crowd to go wild once again.
“I heard her plus size clothing line has been doing great and she is planning on doing a spring line inspired by the Supernatural family,” Rob added.
“That is true,” Jensen responded. “But because of our busy schedule, this will be the very first Christmas we won't celebrate together.”
The ‘awws’ resonated through the crowd. Jensen smiled weakly at everyone.
“So the only song I could think of singing tonight was Elvis Presley’s ‘Blue Christmas’ to convey my feelings. I hope y’all don’t mind singing along with me.”
The crowd went silent as Jensen and Rob began to play their guitars, the band joining them as they played the song. When Jensen began to sing, you could feel the same sadness you felt for the past months, being separated from him. Your friends made fun of how attached to the hip you and Jensen were, but you couldn’t help how much you loved the man, and how much he adored you. As the crowd sang along with him, you made your way out of the hall. You smiled to yourself as you held onto the card Jared gave you, knowing what you had planned would be perfect.
It was around ten-thirty at night when you heard Jared outside the suite.
“Dude, they promised to unlock the door in the morning.”
“Then how will I get dressed? What am I going to wear to sleep? All my belongings are in that room!”
“They made sure the suite would have an extra pair of pajamas for you and they will get your things out first thing in the morning. Let’s not have what happened in Montreal again.”
You could hear Jensen grunt on the other side as he unlocked the door. You quickly ran over to the living room of the suite and sat down on the gigantic couch that took up half the room. You heard the door shut and his heavy footsteps as he walked towards the living room area, which was in the direction of the bedroom. You smiled as you watched him freeze at the entrance, staring at you in disbelief.
“Hey there, babe. Miss me?” you said flirtatiously.
You sat there wearing a thigh-high velvet Santa dress you made two weeks ago, right after you made the decision for your flight back home. The dress showed off your deliciously thick thighs, and you wore black thigh high stockings and ankle-high black six-inch heel boots with gold buckles on the side. Your hair was curled and loose, and a Santa hat pinned to your head. Simple makeup to finish the entire look, but was underneath the outfit was the real surprise.
Without waiting another second, Jensen walked towards you, his eyes never leaving yours as he dropped down to his knees in front of you. As you looked at him, he grabbed your shoulders and pulled you close into a deep, passionate kiss. A kiss you had been craving for the last few months. His lips pressed against yours, so soft and plump. He kissed you with such force, the force of a man that missed his woman. His tongue begged for entrance, licking the slit of your lips, which you gave so willingly. Tongues clashed against each other as they danced for dominance, the dominance you always gave in to after you teased him a bit. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you closer to him. Your arms wrapped around his neck in turn, your fingers grasping his short hair. You moaned into his mouth, wanting more, but you knew you had to wait, at least until he was fed.
Sadly, you broke free from his kiss, hooded eyes looking at each other as you smiled at him, stroking the back of his neck.
“Missed you so much babe,” he groaned out, his hands gliding over your curvy hips to your round bottom.
“Same, babe, you don’t know how much I wanted to just leave everything behind to be with you.”
“But you’re here now,” he whispered back, his own smile breaking free. “How did you get away? I thought you had to be there for the show?”
“Left Angela in charge, and they don’t really need me there. It’s not like Paris will miss me,” you giggled. “Now, I ordered us some food that should still be warm so let's eat first, and then we can spend the rest of our time together.”
Jensen only nodded in response, his hand holding yours as you got up and guided him towards the dining table not far from the couch.
You were wrapped in Jensen’s arms, sitting on the couch after dinner. After having a long conversation playing catch up, you finally felt it was the right time to give him your news. But before you could speak a word, Jensen beat you to the punch.
“I wanted to ask you if you wanted to move in together?”
You stayed silent for a moment.
“Look, I know our jobs consist of us traveling constantly, but I was planning on buying a house in Austin, have a more permanent place out there. And I was wondering if you would like to move in your stuff so that when you aren’t traveling, you have a permanent home...with me.”
He began to ramble about how much he loved you and wanted to spend more time with you instead of being in separate homes in different states. Explained how Austin would be a perfect place to settle at and having a home together would be wonderful.
“You don’t have to answer right now. Figured you might be leaving back to Paris since you did say you had an…”
“I’m not going back to Paris, not anytime soon anyway,” you interrupted.
“What do you mean? When you left you said…”
“I know what I said, but traveling to Paris will make things a bit more difficult.”
You got up from his arms and stood before him, taking in a deep breath. Looking into his eyes, you began.
“The reason why I can’t go to Paris is that I am taking some time off. About a year off actually.”
“Everything is fine, babe. I just don’t know how you will take it,” you replied, taking a deep breath before continuing. “Remember the two weeks before I left? That trip to Miami?”
“Yeah, we decided to enjoy those weeks before we went back to work.”
“Well ...simply put it….” you began to stutter.
Jensen took hold of your hands in his and gave you his typical silly grin.
“I had forgotten to get a refill of my pill and didn’t take it during those days. I thought because my period was over that we would be safe and I would just get the refill in Paris!” you blurted out in one go.
Jensen’s eyes narrowed before growing wide, realizing what you were saying.
“I had a doctor monitor me out in Paris and since you were so excited with directing a few episodes, I wanted to wait until I was out the three-month danger zone to tell you. Plus, I know how dedicated you are to your career right now…”
“Wait so you knew this entire time and didn’t tell me?” Jensen said, his voice rising.
“I was scared, Jay. You know my history with miscarriages and I didn’t want to get my… our hopes up if this was another one,” you replied with a whine.
“Babe, even if it was, I would have been there with you every step of the way. Even from Vancouver, I would have wanted to be with you through it all.”
“I know, it was just my fear. I was afraid to have you see me break down.”
Jensen got up and pulled you into his arms, hugging you tightly.
“I love you so much, (Y/N). I get you were afraid, but remember, I love you no matter what.”
“I know, Jay,” you replied softly. “And that’s why I’m back in the states. I couldn’t wait any longer to tell you the good news and fought so hard with Gen about…”
“Wait, you told Gen but not me?”
“I told her about a week ago. Asking if she could help me through all this as someone who has two kids of her own.”
“Ok, that’s good,” he answered.
“Plus, she is the one looking for the best obstetrician in Austin…” you mumbled, hoping Jensen heard you.
“Wait, Austin?”
You looked up at him through your lashes, a tint of red dancing across your cheeks.
“I was hoping tonight that with this news you would be open to living together, but you beat me to the punch with that… AHHHHH!”
You screamed out as Jensen picked you up in his arms and began twirling around the room, his deep rumble of a laugh vibrating against you as you held on, laughing along with him from joy. Suddenly, he stopped and put you down, dropping to his knees as he touched your stomach.
“I’m sorry, are you both ok?” he asked with a worried tone.
“We are fine, babe. I just flew seven-plus hours in economy. I think a quick moment of joy will be ok.”
“Economy! Nope, our flight to Austin will be first class. You and the baby need space and comfort.”
“Our? I thought you were heading back to Vancouver after the con?”
“Nope, we are all off for the holidays and won’t be back to shooting till January. So, since you are here and staying, wait, you are staying right?”
“Silly bean!” you exclaimed in laughter. “I did say I was taking a year off.”
“Good, because I want you both safe and sound in our new home. The home we will search for once we get to Austin.”
You smiled down at him, feeling such warmth radiate through you as he carefully rubbed your belly. Thinking back on how you felt when you first saw that pregnancy test, you knew this was all worth it. You leaned down and kissed him on his forehead, hoping he felt the same joy you were feeling at this very moment. But that joy was then replaced by desire, the desire to show him how much you loved him.
You turned in his arms and asked for him to unzip your dress. He got up from the floor and slowly did so, his fingertips caressing your skin underneath the cloth inside. Once unzipped, you slid the velvet sleeves down, letting the dress pool down onto the floor. You heard Jensen gasped softly as you turned and faced him.
You wore a silk red see-through full body lingerie set. The piece showed off your curves, a red silk belt wrapped underneath your breasts into a bow. It had peacock patterns all over it and garter belts held up your black stockings. It was a set you saw in Paris and knew you had to buy for tonight’s meet up.
“Baby, are you sure we can…” Jensen began as his eyes grazed over every inch of your body.
“Positive, plus four months is too long, and I need you now.”
You pulled Jensen into you, kissing him desperately. Lips mashed against each other, tongues entangled in desire. You clutched onto his shirt as if grabbing on for dear life as you felt your body turn into jelly just from his hands gliding over your curves, his mouth dominating yours. You unbutton it, pushing it off his shoulders once he was free. Feeling his hot skin under your hands felt so good, like a craving finally being pleased. You knew you couldn’t wait to reach the bedroom, that place can wait for later. You needed him here and now, and by the way he pressed into you, the feel of his length against your stomach, you knew he felt the same.
You stumbled to guide him over to the couch, struggling to remove the rest of his clothes. He eventually helped you, finally stripping him down bare. You smirked as you saw how hard he was, pushing him to sit on the couch, his eyes never leaving you. You climbed onto his lap and began to rock your hips against his length. He threw his head back in pleasure as you put more pressure against him, his eyes closing as he began to lift his hips up to feel more. You grabbed the couch as you picked up the pace, enjoying how delicious it felt as his length rubbed against you, causing you to grow wetter between your legs.
You were so close to your high, but Jensen grabbed your hips and picked you up, causing you to wrap your legs around his waist. He kissed you roughly, nibbling your bottom lip as he guided you both to an open area of the living room space. He slowly got down to his knees, never letting you go. Once he kneeled, his hands grabbed the back of your lingerie and he ripped it open, letting your breasts bounce free as he reached for your front and ripped that down.
“That was silk,” you groaned out between the kisses.
“I’ll get you a new one,” he grunted back as he began to trail kisses down your jawline to the crook of your neck, his hands ripping the rest of the piece from you.
“Don’t care about it, only want you,” you huffed back, arching your back in pleasure as his kisses dropped down to the top of your breasts as the piece of silk finally slipped off your body.
He cupped each breast in his hands, juggling them as he licked and nibbled at the top of them. You dropped down with a grunt, splayed on the floor for his view, legs still wrapped around his waist. You could hear him say the word delicious before burying his face between your breasts, licking and nibbling his way to one nipple. He took that nipple into his mouth and bit down hard, causing you to scream out, your fingers digging into his hair. Switching from one nipple to the other, he gave both the same pleasurable treatment, causing them to stand perk at attention. Removing a hand from his head, you slid it between your bodies and grabbed hold of his swollen length, pumping him as best you could from the angle you were at. You grinned as you felt his body jerk at your touch, his moans growing louder as you moved your hand faster.
“I want you inside me,” you mewled into his ear, spreading your legs open.
Jensen lifted his hips, letting you guide him towards your entrance. You teased yourself with his tip, sliding it up and down against your soaking entrance. He then pushed through, slowly and taking his time, enjoying the missed feeling of your wet warmth around him. He groaned out a ‘fuck’ as he finally filled you up entirely, keeping still for a moment. You felt his body shake above you and you wrapped a leg around his waist again, whispering in his ear to move. And he complied, moving out of you to then push back in.
It was a slow start, just enjoying the feel of your bodies flush against each other, but control was soon lost as your groans grew louder, edging him on for more. His thrusts became faster, rough and with total need. You were so close, right on the edge, groaning out his name when he whispered in your ear.
“Come for me, (Y/N).”
His deep rumble pushed you over the edge, causing you to tighten around him as you screamed his name out. A few more thrusts from him and you felt as he came inside you, your name bouncing off his lips as his entire body went tense over you.
As you both fell from your respective highs, Jensen dropped his head into your shoulder, using his arms to not put his entire weight on you. You laid there, enjoying the only sound of your heavy breathing. After a minute, Jensen pulled out his already softening length from inside you and fell beside you. You moved over to lay against him, his arm coming around you to pull you close.
“Best Christmas gift ever,” Jensen finally said with a chuckle.
“It’s not even Christmas yet,” you replied softly. “I have a gift for you though.”
“I will take tonight and the baby as an early Christmas gift.”
You both laughed at his response, his fingertips grazing over the slightly raised skin from the possible carpet burn on your back.
“Seriously though, this is the best gift anyone could give me, and I am so happy it's with you that I finally start a family with, (Y/N).”
“Love you too, Jay. Happy super early Christmas, babe.”

You groaned out in frustration as you looked at the prices on the Christmas decorations you wanted to order. You hit the desk you were currently sitting at in the bunker library in slight annoyance.
“When did Christmas become so expensive?” you groaned out.
“Why are you even shopping for Christmas?” Dean asked from across the room. “We’ve never decorated before, and it's the day after tomorrow."
“Because you guys didn’t have me around,” you stated with a smirk as you got out your chair. “I’ve always made it a thing to at least get a small tree and some snacks to celebrate.”
“Why don’t you just do that?”
“Because, before this year, I was living out of my car and motels. Now that I am in a cozy place, I am going to go all out for the holidays. But, with all the cases we've had, Christmas snuck up on me and now everything is either sold out or the prices are jacked up."
“Didn’t you celebrate when you were a kid?” Dean asked as he looked up from his laptop.
“I grew up in the system and sadly I lived in foster homes that didn’t make a big deal about Christmas. Just the regular gifts we got from donations and whatever school did."
At your statement, Dean got up from his chair, putting his laptop to the side, and without a word, went towards the hallway. You stood there confused, wondering what was with the sudden jump from him. You looked down at your laptop and checked everything that was on the list, wondering what you could remove to make it cheaper. That moment, Dean walked back into the library with a jacket on, throwing yours at you.
“Ok, kiddo, let's go and buy everything before Sam gets back.”
“But...I thought…” you stuttered.
“Every kid should have celebrated Christmas at least once in their lives. Plus, Sam will enjoy the whole thing since we've never made a big deal outta it before. It'll be nice to see you two celebrating properly for once."
You smiled widely at Dean and quickly put your jacket on, following him up the stairs and out the bunker.
“You sure we got enough food?” Dean asked as he came into the kitchen with more shopping bags from the car.
“Oh, yeah, we have more than enough! With the turkey and ham, I have cooking, the side dishes AND the dishes Donna and Jody promised to bring, we have enough for everyone to take home a plate and keep us eating for three days at least.”
“Great!” Dean exclaimed as he looked at you. “What about dessert? You can’t have dinner without dessert.”
“Already baked four pies early this morning, two gallons of metropolitan ice cream are in the freezer and baking cake number two in oven number three.”
Dean walked over to the ovens, licking his lips as he opened each door to see everything baking. When he opened the fourth oven door, his eyes went wide to see an apple pie sitting there.
“I thought you said four pies?”
“That one is for you,” you began, laughing as Dean grabbed it and ran out of the kitchen. “BUT DON’T GET FULL! DINNER WILL BE READY IN THREE HOURS AND EVERYONE WILL BE HERE IN FOUR!”
As Dean ran back into the kitchen, Sam came in right behind him, the look of confusion on his face as he examined the decor all around. Dean came to stand by you, pie and fork in hand, pointing up to the mistletoe you didn’t realize that was above you. He gave you a wide smile and kissed your cheek, thanking you afterward as he made his way back out of the kitchen.
“Merry Christmas, Sam,” you greeted him with a wide smile.
“How...when…” he stuttered as he walked over to stand next to you.
“Day before yesterday, Dean and I went to every store we could and grabbed everything we could when it came to the decorations. We worked on decorating every room in the bunker, minus the ones we don’t really use. Don't worry, we left your room alone."
“And cooking?” Sam asked curiously.
“Well, we were talking during the decorating fun and thought it would be nice to celebrate like a real family. So we decided on dinner. Went out last night to buy as much food as possible and Dean went earlier to get drinks and other extra things.”
“Wow, I’m surprised you convinced him to do all this.”
“It wasn’t much really, just glad he is enjoying it.”
“Yeah,” Sam whispered with a soft smile. “So, who is coming for dinner?”
“Not many. Mary and Bobby are on their way from a hunt, Jody and Donna will be here with the trio and they are coming with more food. Cass should be back any minute with Jack with the Santa hats I asked them to go buy, and I think that’s about it.”
“Not many,” Sam commented as he leaned closer against the kitchen counter.
“Well, the important thing is to celebrate with those we love, right?” you said with a slight blush as you looked at Sam.
“True,” he nodded, smiling. “Well, I am going to shower and get dressed for tonight’s event. Let me know if you need any help.”
As Sam turned to head out the kitchen, you called him back over, watching as he walked back over to stand near you. You quietly pointed up at the mistletoe, causing him to chuckle when he noticed it. He leaned forward and placed a kiss right on your forehead, his lips touching your heated skin. He kissed you longer than necessary, but you honestly couldn’t complain. Once he leaned away, he pushed a lock of your hair behind your ear. He smiled at you and turned to walk back out, leaving you a bundle of nerves against the kitchen counter.
You had an hour left to get ready before everyone would start arriving. Cass and Jack were already there, hanging out in the library with Dean and Sam. You walked over to the library to join them, flinging yourself into a chair next to Sam, letting out a sigh of relief.
“Ham should be done when everyone gets here, but everything else is ready and set.”
“Wait, you really set everything up?” Dean asked with worry. “I told you earlier to call us to help you.”
“It’s fine, it’s fine. You guys got the tables set up, all I had to do was put the food out. Turkey stays in the oven to keep it warm, so no touching mister,” you pointed at Dean.
“This will be my first Christmas,” Jack said happily. “Cass, Sam and Dean were just explaining to me where Christmas came from and what people normally do for traditions.”
“Cool! It’s my first big Christmas too. Normally was alone this time of year. But hey, at least I got you guys to celebrate with. And this won’t be the only year we do this! Once the sales go up on decorations I am buying more things for next year.”
“It’s nice to see the bunker-like this, feels even more like home now,” Dean added. “And what is that smell? It kinda smells like Christmas now.”
“It’s scented candles I placed around. To give it that homely feel,” you replied. “I have a cinnamon one in the kitchen, a few small gingerbread ones throughout the hallway and in here, I have a pine-scented one, since the tree is plastic.”
“Smells great,” Dean sighed.
The room went silent as you all enjoyed the relaxing, warm feeling in the library. After a few minutes, you got up from your chair and was about to excuse yourself, when Jack came up to you and suddenly kissed your cheek. It took you by surprise until he pointed above you.
“Cass and Dean said that when you see someone under the mistletoe, you have to give them a kiss.”
“Oh, didn’t see that bugger there,” you giggled in response.
“Sam, you have to give her a kiss since you are also under the mistletoe,” Jack said nonchalantly as he moved back to sit next to Cass.
Sam looked up at you with a shy smile. You shrugged your shoulders and leaned down to give Sam a peck on the cheek. When you started to lean back, Sam turned his head to kiss your cheek, only a few inches away from your lips. You leaned back, sucking your lips in as you fought the urge to sigh. You quietly excused yourself and went to your room to get what you needed to shower and get dressed.
By the time you were done getting dressed, everyone had arrived. You thought you were late when you heard the noise of folks, but when you looked at your wristwatch, you realized they were just early. You made your way to the library to see everyone standing there, locked in conversations. It was Claire who noticed you, running towards you to give you a tight hug. Jody’s whistle was what made everyone turn to see you.
You decided to get dressed up for dinner, the first time in a very long time. You wore a simple red long sleeve turtleneck and a knee-length white tulle skirt with a big red bow tied around your waist. You wore red peep-toe heels with big red bows on them, your toenails painted red after the quick pedicure you gave yourself. You finally put the flat iron Donna had given you for your birthday to use, letting your hair flow free, Santa hat pinned to the top of your head. Your ears were adorned with small, silver hoops, your only piece of jewelry. Your makeup was simple, eyeliner with a tint of blush and rosy red lips to finish the entire look.
You became really shy as everyone stared at you with wide eyes and big smiles.
“Told you you would look great in it,” Dean declared as he walked over to you.
He grabbed your hand and twirled you, causing you to giggle. When you both had seen the outfit, Dean insisted that you get it, you arguing it would be too much for dinner. But you were thankful he convinced you otherwise because Sam kept looking you up and down. Everyone else came by and admired your outfit, thanking you for the invite for dinner. Once you greeted everyone, you let them know that dinner was ready and told them to head over to the kitchen, letting Dean know to take the ham and turkey out of the oven. Once everyone cleared out the library, you realized the Christmas playlist you had set up wasn’t playing.
When you turned to go back into the library though, you bumped into Sam’s chest. Because you weren’t used to heels, you felt your body bounce off him and fall back. With your eyes closed, you expected to fall to the floor, instead, you felt strong arms wrap around your waist.
“You ok, (Y/N)?”
You finally opened your eyes to see Sam’s face inches from yours, his body pressed against yours as he held you. You then realized that he caught you mid-fall and your hands somehow ended up gripping his shoulders. You gasped in shock and quickly nodded your head, sam finally standing straight, helping you to do the same. You got a hold of your balance and quickly removed your hands from him, straightening out your skirt in a moment of nerves.
“Thank you for the save,” you muttered nervously as you cleared your throat.
“It’s my fault for scaring you,” he replied softly.
“No, it’s my fault for listening to your brother and buying heels. Should have gone with a pair of flats.”
“True, but you really do look beautiful tonight,” Sam replied. “Not like you never look beautiful, I mean,” he began to stutter, causing you to laugh.
“Thank you, Sam means a lot to come from you.”
Sam smiled down at you, a hint of red along his cheeks when he looked up at the doorway. He chuckled and pointed above your head, the small piece of mistletoe hanging right there.
“I knew I shouldn’t have let Dean put the mistletoe up,” you whispered under your breath, blushing furiously.
“Well, he does get carried away sometimes. Let’s just hope he saved some for himself for when he goes to the bar later tonight.”
You both laughed at his statement, the laughter dying down as you heard Dean calling out for you.
“Well, I better get the music going and head to the kitchen,” you began.
“I can put the music on, you can head to the kitchen,” he insisted. “But before you leave…”
Sam placed a hand under your chin and lifted your face to look up at him. He looked you right in the eyes, his hazel ones shining brightly as he stared into your (Y/E/C) ones. He tilted your face to the side and placed a soft kiss against your cheek, opposite of the one he had kissed earlier. His lips lingered against your skin, causing you to feel a warmth rise from your body. Once he pulled away, he grabbed your nose between his fingers and gently shook your face, teasing you.
“Go ahead, will catch up with you soon,” he said before turning to go put the music on.
Dinner was delicious! Everyone loved the food you cooked, and each person told Sam and Dean how lucky they were to have such a great cook living with them. Donna and Jody’s food was delicious as well. Donna even brought some veal for everyone to try and it was delicious. Of course, Dean went for seconds, but you stopped him when he tried to get a third plate, reminding him of dessert in a few. Everyone was stuffed and relaxing in the library after Dean and Sam picked up the empty paper plates.
You were leaning against the big door frame from the library to the war room when Sam came over with a glass of water. He handed it to you and you took it graciously. As you sipped on your water, you both watched as everyone interacted with each other. Smiles and laughter echoed in the bunker, the twinkle in everyone’s eyes shined brightly filled with love. Seeing happiness before you, you couldn’t help the swelling in your heart. After years of not knowing what happened to your family, years of being alone, you had finally found your family, your home.
“What’s with the big smile? Thinking about something happy?” Sam asked with a whisper as he leaned in close.
“Just thinking about the day I met you guys and how grateful I am of you welcoming into your lives. Don’t know where I would be this year if I hadn’t decided to join you Winchesters. Hell, if it weren’t for you being so insistent.”
“I think you were highly convinced after my argument in the motel.”
“You made it seem like I had no choice, Samuel,” you teased at him.
“Wasn’t I right though? We do make a good team, (Y/N), and we all get along. There was no need for you to be alone anymore. We knew the moment we met you, you had to join our little family.”
“And a family I found with you two.”
Sam leaned closer, his head inches from yours.
“Seriously, I’m glad you chose to stay with us. Things have changed for the better with you here.”
That’s when Sam leaned in and gave you a kiss on the top of your head. You pulled away surprised by the action when you saw him look up. Again, right above you was a bit of mistletoe. You rolled your eyes, causing Sam to laugh as he walked away to talk to his mother. You couldn’t help but internally thank Dean for going crazy with the mistletoe since this was the fourth kiss he had given you throughout the night.
By this point of the night, you had a feeling Dean had planned exactly where to put the mistletoe because kiss number five was right on the stairwell after you all took a family picture as a reminder of the night. And it was above the EXACT stair you would sit on whenever you needed quiet time to think. And Dean even made sure you were standing there with Sam right beside you. Unfortunately, Jack pointed the mistletoe out and right when Dean pressed the button for the camera to take the picture, Sam leaned in and kissed the side of your head, your shocked face forever printed on the picture. You begged Dean to take another, but he just laughed and walked away with the camera, hiding it from you.
It was about ten at night when you began to serve the desserts and coffee, Jack and Sam thankfully had cleared the tables in the kitchen so you could put them out. As you were cutting the second cake, Jody came by and gave you a hug.
“Thanks for planning all this last minute, (Y/N). Donna and I weren’t sure about doing this ourselves with everyone always being on a case.”
“Yeah, Sam just got in earlier today from a quick salt and burn,” you replied.
“Yeah, about Sam…” Jody teased.
“Nothing is going on,” you giggled.
“Well, if you ask Dean after that picture, he can’t help but brag about how set up you are right now.”
“I knew he was planning something the moment he said he would handle putting up the mistletoe.”
“Well, at least you aren’t the only one getting caught under them!”
“Yeah, but each time, Sam is near me and honestly, I don’t mind it,” you whispered with a tease.
“I mean, the kid isn’t arguing. Dean said it seems he is more than willing.”
“It’s only because of the coincidence, Jody.”
“Hmm, I beg to differ,” Jody emphasized. “Dean did tell us that the main reason you joined them was after your conversation with Sam.”
“Sam just made it clear. The three of us worked together for so many months, always calling each other up for a hunt. He just pointed out how easy our meetups would be if I just moved in. I mean, we all get along well, we trust each other and I am a mean cook.”
“Yeah,” Jody replied with a chortle. “Can’t argue there.”
“Plus, Dean sees me like a little sister. He always tries to spoil me whenever I tell him about my time growing up in the system. Like, all this was just because I told him that in my foster homes never made a big deal about Christmas. When we arrived at the first store, he filled the cart up with so many decorations, I had to put a few things away!”
“Yeah, he told us about that. Said he wanted you and Sam to experience a true Christmas with family.”
“And that is exactly what we have tonight.”
“But, I can’t help but point out, Sam doesn’t really treat you like Dean does. I know you confided in me about how much you like Sam and that you don’t want to ruin the dynamic between the three of you with romantic feelings,” Jody spoke with a serious tone. “But, my advice to you, don’t hide them anymore. If you ever feel like there might be a sign of affection from him, take that chance.”
“Thanks, Jody,” you murmured with a bright smile. “This is why I trust you so much,” you added as you pulled her into a tight hug.
“Always here for my girls, ain’t I,” she gushed.
“Alright, enough emotional stuff for now. I need to finish preparing this so everyone can get their desserts.”
Once everyone had their fill of sweets and coffee, you went back into the kitchen to clean up. You left everyone stuffed and sitting in a somewhat circle, sharing hunting stories. You were reaching the kitchen, musing on what dessert to pack up for everyone’s to-go platter when you saw Sam serving himself another slice of the fruitcake you had made. You couldn’t help but notice how all the desserts were on the kitchen counter and the tables were put away, the table cloths folded and placed on the table you usually used to eat.
“Looks like someone isn’t full yet.”
Sam turned and gave you a shy smile.
“Too delicious to not want another bite,” he replied with a guilty look on his face.
“Well, I figured you would enjoy it,” you stated with a grin as you walked over to the fridge. Once you opened the door, you pointed at an untouched fruitcake sitting there next to an apple pie. “So, made an extra one for you.”
“You didn’t have to, (Y/N),” Sam insisted.
“Now, when have you known me to only spoil Dean when it comes to food?” you joked placing your hands on your hips.
“Can’t fight you there,” Sam chuckled.
You walked over to the kitchen counter and examined everything.
“Figured you would need the help to move them over since you did pack and put everything away earlier without any help.”
“Well, thank you for your help. But I don’t mind doing all this, really. Just makes me happy to see everyone enjoying everything.”
Sam moved to stand next to you, a piece of fruitcake in hand.
“You are amazing, did you know that, (Y/N)?”
“Amazingly fun,” you joked as you poked his shoulder.
Sam laughed at your tease, placing the fruitcake down on an empty spot on the counter.
“Seriously, though. Not only tonight, every day you make magic. Ever since Dean and I moved in here, it never really felt like home until you came. You warmed up the place, adding a bit of a homely feel with your decorating.”
“Well, we can’t be living in a place that looks more like an old library. And those comforters you guys had looked more like jail beds comforters. You really needed the color,” you teased.
“Just know,” Sam laughed as he continued. “We really appreciate you being here. Your company has been the best and honestly, I don’t think tonight would have happened if it weren’t for you.”
“Why thank you very much for the compliment Sam Winchester!” you exclaimed with a grin.
Sam nodded his head and grabbed his fruitcake, about to make his way out of the kitchen. That’s when you noticed the mistletoe hanging on the doorframe of the kitchen entrance. You felt a bit of nerve once the thought crossed your mind, but figured this was your only chance to see exactly how Sam might feel. You walked up behind him and right when he walked under the mistletoe, you grabbed him by the shoulder and with all your might, you made him turn to face you.
The next few seconds went by in a flash. You stood up on your tiptoes and leaned forward, placing a kiss on the corner of his mouth. You made it a quick peck, closing your eyes as you did it. Once you were back flat on your feet, you looked up at him. You grinned as you saw his face turned red, his free hand touching the exact spot you kissed him.
“Mistletoe,” you whispered as you pointed right above his head.
He looked up and then back down at you. Without a word, Sam walked right back into the kitchen, leaving his fruitcake in the fridge. As he walked right back to you, he looked down at you, his face serious.
“Go get your jacket and meet me outside by the small pond.”
Before you could say another word, Sam walked out of the kitchen and towards his room. You were slightly confused, wondering why he wanted to go outside this late. But you obediently went to your room to get your fluffy jacket. As you walked towards the garage to head outside, you saw Dean come out of Sam’s room, closing the door behind him. He gave you a huge grin and wiggled his eyebrows at you. Without another word, he walked off towards the library.
You sat on the snow-covered metal bench Dean had forged when he and Sam dug out the hole for the now frozen man-made pond. You had found this small clearing during your fourth week at the bunker, telling Sam how perfect of a spot it was for a pond and a bench to sit at. The following week, the brothers got to work, finishing it quickly. After then, you and Sam enjoyed many silent readings under the sun at that spot. You sat there waiting when you saw the silhouette of someone head your way. You grabbed the handle of the knife in your pocket, ready to defend yourself in case it wasn’t Sam. But thankfully it was him, and laughably, he stood there in the moonlight with a gun slightly raised. Once he saw you, he shrugged and put his gun away.
“Can never be too careful,” he pointed out as he made his way towards you.
“I agree,” you replied as you showed him your knife, hiding it away in your pocket.
“Isn’t that the knife..” he began.
“The one I accidentally stabbed you in the leg with when I thought you were a vampire?”
“Yeah, the very first hunt we saw each other.”
“The exact one. Can’t lose the chance to clone a Winchester,” you winked back.
Sam burst out laughing, grabbing his stomach in reaction. You laughed along with him, enjoying his laughter. You loved watching him laugh, how his whole body went into the action. There was one thing you could always admit to yourself, you loved watching Sam’s reactions. All night you were watching him from afar, how much he smiled and how happy he looked around those he loved. After a few minutes of silence, Sam spoke up.
“I was serious when I said you were the best thing to happen in our lives recently.”
“I know Sam, and I am grateful you convinced me to join your family. Dean is like the big brother I never wanted and…”
“Honestly, Dean and I have different perspectives when it comes to you.”
You fell silent at his words, not knowing what to say.
“Yeah, Dean loves you like a sister. He loves how you go along with his jokes and enjoy anime as much as he does. He loves that he is able to feel that sibling connection with you. And I know he and I are brothers, but he was also my father growing up, so we never really had that chance to just be siblings.”
Sam drew in a deep breath and releasing it, white fog coming from his lips.
“But, the way I see you, I mean, we can never have that sibling connection. And I don’t want that kind of connection.”
You turned your entire body to face him as he turned to look at you.
“It’s weird, but after all the chaos on that first hunt, when I really was able to look at you, something inside me sparked.”
“So, me, covered in guts and blood caused a spark inside you?” you asked teasingly.
“Well, I know it wasn’t the blood and guts,” he chuckled back. “But something had me drawn to you. Hunt after hunt, months of getting to know you, and I was falling deeper, that spark just burning brighter.”
Sam grabbed your hands with his, pulling them on top of his lap.
“The more I got to know you, the warmer my heart felt. Your smile lights up any room you walk into, the way you get super excited by the smallest things. Hell, you even do your best to make hunting fun!”
“I mean, it's not the easiest job,” you whispered.
“True, but you always make the best out of the situation. You are kind, humble, sweet and smart. You know how to be playful and serious when the time calls for it. You are a great fighter and strong hunter. You don’t let the darkness take you over, you control it.”
Sam slid closer, his eyes never leaving yours.
“You are a special woman, one of a kind, and I don’t ever want to lose you. I hope that you will allow me to stay by your side, not just as a friend, but as a man that loves you.”
You gasped at his words, eyes growing wide in shock at his confession.
“I know this is all sudden, but I hope you let me stay by your side and spoil you with love. To celebrate every holiday with, to one day have our own little family, maybe. We know the life we live can be cut short anytime, and I don’t want mine to end before I even had the chance to tell you how much I love you.”
You felt as tears began to prickle at the corner of your eyes, your mouth turning into a wide smile, your heart beating faster.
“I love you, (Y/N) and I don’t want to miss another day without telling you.”
Sam then pulled out a small box from inside his jacket and handed it to you. You recognized the light blue box and white bow, never looking at the brand name to know he spent some good money on the jewelry. He insisted you open the box and inside was silver diamond victoria key pendant.
“Sam, you didn’t have to,” you said as you looked up at him.
“I wanted to,” he replied back as he turned over the key.
On the back, there were initials etched into the metal. You felt your entire body flip internally as you realized that the initials were his and yours. You looked right back up to him, the tears breaking free.
“You have the key to my heart and I wanted you to know that every time you see this around your neck.”
Sam placed both hands on your cheeks, his eyes shining under the moonlight as he examined your face. You leaned in closer, knowing that what came next would be magical. He leaned in and placed a sweet kiss on your lips. You felt the rush of warmth surround your body, how you felt like you were on cloud nine.
Sam Winchester, the guy who convinced you to stay with him and his brother, the man you fell in love with, the man that haunts your dreams, was here kissing you. This was real, you knew by the way his delicious lips enraptured yours in the kiss. You knew this man was being honest, as his tongue slid against your lips, begging for entrance. You knew this wasn’t any wet dream of yours but the way his tongue finally wrapped with yours once you opened up to him. You knew, in your heart, that Sam Winchester was in love with you by the way he pulled you as close as humanly possible, lifting you up to sit in his lap.
You kissed for so long, barely breaking apart for air. But once you did, he placed his forehead against yours, you both panting in the cold air. You smiled as you felt his hands wander down from your cheeks to your shoulders, down your arms, and to your own hands. He grabbed them and held them tight as if he were afraid you would be gone.
“So, (Y/N), (Y/L/N), would you give me the best Christmas present ever, and be my girlfriend?’
“Yes, Sam a million times yes,” you exclaimed, wrapping your arms around his neck as he wrapped his around your waist.
You both sat there for what felt like a long time, enjoying each other with kisses and touches. Your hands ached to feel him, his lips barely leaving your exposed skin alone. When you did feel a shiver go down your spine from the chilly weather, Sam stood you up from his lap and guided you back to the bunker, arms wrapped around you to keep you close and warm. Once you were inside the bunker, he took out the box and pulled the necklace from its spot, unclasping it. You lifted your hair up so he could put the necklace on your neck, satisfied when you felt the silver chain drop onto your skin the moment he clasped it.
He grabbed your hand and guided you back to the library never letting you leave his side. Everyone was still there when the clock struck midnight. You both stood at the entrance as Sam cleared his throat. When everyone looked over and saw your clasped hands, Dean was the first to celebrate the good news.
“FINALLY you two get the nerve to make it happen! I was wondering how much longer you were going to be dancing around each other!” he exclaimed with a roar.
Everyone congratulated you both, hoping the best for your new relationship. That’s when Jack pointed above your heads.
“Mistletoe,” he said with a smile.
You both looked to see the mistletoe from earlier still there. Sam looked down at you with a smile as you did the same. He leaned in and gave you a knee-jerking kiss, his arms wrapping around your waist to hold you tightly against him. Once he broke the kiss, he looked into your eyes and whispered.
A/N: In this fic, Jared never married Gen and it takes place Christmas 2015. This is in no way to disrespect the Padalecki family and I only wish the best for them. And the images used here are not mine, they were found on Pinterest and Google. Credit to the creators but sadly I don’t know them to mention them.
A/N 2: This was written for the Christmas mini for @supernaturaltropecelebration. The moment I saw this trope, I remembered the song Jared sang on the Christmas album he and other SPN cast made a while back, obvi! So yeah give the song a listen and hey might as well listen to the entire album while you’re at it since it is the holidays.
My Masterlist
December 18th
(Y/N) bolted from the car, leaving Jared and Jensen behind as she made her way to her apartment. She couldn’t contain her excitement after the great news they received that afternoon. Jared watched as she rushed up the stairwell, too impatient to wait for the elevator. Jared followed right behind her, Jensen joining the rush up the stairs. Jared watched as she ran into her floor hall, catching up to see her struggling to open her apartment door, giggling like a child. When she finally opened her door, she ran inside screaming with joy. Jensen was laughing at her excitement as he followed Jared to her place. They entered and saw her run around grabbing things, Jensen whistling at the Christmas decoration she had placed all around.
“Wow, you even got light hanging from the ceiling,” Jensen noticed while he examined the colorful lights above.
“This is my first year actually celebrating Christmas so I went all out with the decor,” (Y/N) pointed out as she carried a black bag from her bathroom full of toiletries, pointing at the massive tree in her open living room.
Jensen whistled as Jared just smiled, watching (Y/N) run into her bedroom.
“You do realize we leave the day after tomorrow to the lodge,” Jared said with a chuckle.
“You do realize I have to go clothes shopping,” (Y/N) said, poking her head out her bedroom door. “I have NOTHING for the heavy snow and I need to pack the things I can wear for the next two weeks before I go out! Plus tomorrow is Saturday, weekends are hell in the mall and all over the city in Vancouver.”
“Don’t worry about going tomorrow,” Jensen stated as he looked at his phone. “Dee will be here with J.J. in an hour and she already said she wants to go shopping with you. She wants to make sure you have the perfect dress for the Christmas and New Year party.”
“YES!” (Y/N) exclaimed as she ran towards Jensen, hugging him. “Thank your adorable wife for me. Now you two,w shoo! I still have tons to pack and make sure I call my family to let them know I’m not coming home for the holidays. I am NOT missing out on my chance to play in the snow!”
December 20th
It was 6 am when Jared was startled awake by someone banging on his door. He climbed out of bed and wrapped himself in the warm fluffy robe (Y/N) had gotten him two months ago, stumbling towards his front door half awake. When he opened the door, he couldn’t help the smile that wrapped around his face. There stood (Y/N), dressed in a heavy green coat that had faux fur wrapped around the hood and a soft cream sweater dress, red and white striped leggings that reminded him of candy canes. She wore the black NorthFace boots he bought her yesterday when the five of them went last-minute shopping for winter clothing and the black pom beanie he got her a year ago. She stood at his door with two coffee cups in hand and a medium brown bag between her lips, looking up at him with shining eyes. He took the brown bag gently from her lips and moved to the side so she could enter his apartment.
“I know it’s a little early but,” she began.
“A little early? The bus won’t be here until 9am,” he chuckled in response.
“Still, we agreed last night at dinner that Dee and I would make sure you guys had everything packed and ready. I know how unorganized you and Jensen are, and you guys both remind me everyday how thankful you are that the higher-ups assigned me as your assistant. Now, where is your luggage so I can double-check? And yes, I got your breakfast sandwich in the bag with my sausage bagel so don’t you DARE eat my breakfast.”
Jared laughed at her last statement, pointing at his luggage sitting on his couch. He watched as she made her way over to it, unzipping it and going through his things. She turned to look at him, her mouth opening to say something but he stopped her.
“My suits are in their carrier hanging on the bathroom door and my shoes are laid out beside the couch. Got tired and decided to pack them in the morning.”
“I wasn’t going to ask about that since I saw your suits and shoes,” she said with a smile. “I was about to ask where your medication was and if you made sure you packed enough socks.”
Jared’s eyes went wide as he thought back on his time packing, realizing he only put in three pairs of socks and that his medication was still in his cabinet. When he sighed heavily, (Y/N) giggled and walked over to him, patting him on the arm.
“Don’t worry, that’s why you got me, big boy.”
“I don’t know how they picked out the most perfect person to handle Jay and I.”
“Be thankful I agreed to it and not to go work with your buddy Stephen.”
“I will thank anyone I have to just so we can keep you,” Jared said with a slight blush.
“Don’t worry, as long as you two have a job with the CW, you are stuck with me. Now eat while I get your socks and medicine. You need to be dressed and ready by 8:30am and heading downstairs.”
“OHMAGAWD LOOK AT THE SNOW!!!”
Everyone laughed at (Y/N)’s reaction when she got off the bus once they arrived at the Fairmont Chateau in Whistler. Jared watched as she ran around the snow with Justice, West, and Maison. Misha and his family rode the bus with them, glad to keep the kids together so they could enjoy each other’s company. Mark Sheppard and his wife, Sarah, and Ruth Connell also joined them along for the ride. Everyone else from cast to the crew would be arriving in their own mode of transportation since the majority of them were coming with their immediate family, so thankfully the bus didn’t get packed.
“It’s like she has never seen snow before,” Ruthie noted.
“She grew up in the south like us, but mostly worked down there. So Vancouver has been the closest she has gotten to see snow,” Danneel replied. “It’s great to see her so happy, especially after losing her mother last year.”
“She has gotten along with you and these two guys hasn’t she?” Misha poked.
“Yeah, she’s like a sister now and is someone I can trust to take care of my man here and his baby brother.”
Everyone laughed, causing Jensen and Jared to turn red with embarrassment.
“Let’s head inside and get our rooms before everyone else gets here!” Jensen exclaimed, guiding everyone inside.
The studio had rented out the entire resort for the cast and crew for their DC shows and Supernatural, making sure everyone and their families had room. Stephen had already arrived, being the first one there with his wife, Cassandra and his daughter, Maverick. Jensen, Jared and Stephen made sure to get the suites, even getting one for (Y/N) and Stephen’s assistant to share. They all agreed to meet up down in the fireplace room once they were settled in their rooms. Jared was waiting for the elevator when (Y/N) came out of her room, still in her cream dress but switched her boots out for a pair of tan Uggs. She smiled at Jared and stood next to him.
“Bet you didn’t unpack,” she giggled, receiving a smile from Jared.
“No, will do it later. Wanted to check out the place first. Mind joining me on a stroll?”
“Sure, I wanted to find out if they had an indoor pool and promised Danneel I would find out if they have a babysitting service for the kids for when we are at the parties.”
“Didn’t you two call last night?” Jared asked as they climbed into the elevator that arrived. He noticed how close (Y/N) was standing next to him, her covered arm barely brushing his.
“We did, but Danneel wants me to see exactly who the babysitter will be and do some research on them. Just in case we have to call a service instead.”
“Smart move,” Jared agreed, watching the numbers lower as they went down.
“Yeah, plus you promised to go with me skiing so I want to see what classes are offered since the website says they do.”
“You are really dedicated to learning how to ski,” Jared chuckled.
“I am not leaving this place until my feet are on those sticks and flying down a hill of snow!”
“Don’t worry,” Jared laughed as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer. “We will make sure you not only learn how to ski but make your first snow angel and snowman. Even get the kids in on a snowball fight”
They walked off the elevator once it reached the main lobby, laughing and enjoying each other’s company as they talked about everything they wanted to do. They admired the Christmas decor and got all the information they needed, But, instead of joining the rest of the group, they wandered off through the resort, just talking and laughing, lost in their own little world.
December 22nd
“Are you sure? This isn’t something to joke about Jay?”
“I’m serious, Dee pulled it out of her on their shopping trip yesterday,” Jensen whispered as he and Jared walked by a few crew members towards the doors that led to the outside patio. “She told Dee that she found you handsome and kind, but would never make a move to ask you out because she doesn’t think you would want to date someone like her.”
It was hours after their ski trip up the mountain, everyone deciding to warm up with a hot chocolate. Dee and (Y/N) had gone outside with J.J because the young girl still wasn’t tired from a full day of snow fun while the guys drank their chocolate and Jensen revealing what he found out from his wife regarding (Y/N).
“What do you… She is beautiful Jay and you were the first one to call me out on my crush for her,” Jared whispered back with a tinge of annoyance in his tone once they were on the patio.
“Dude, it's not an image thing. We know how confident (Y/N) is about her body and Dee even said she was surprised how body confident the girl is. I mean, you do stare a ton when she is wearing those shorts in the summer,” Jensen wiggled his eyebrows at his last comment, causing Jared to blush.
“Ok, so what’s got her holding back?”
“Something about you might not wanting to date someone that works for you or possibly you just wanting to be friends since she’s worked for us since season 2 and never made a move.”
“Hey, I thought her calling us childish and always calling me her best friend meant I was in the friendzone.”
“Well, it seems like you two don’t know how to move on from this whole maybe or maybe not flirting circle, so Dee took matters into her own hands.”
“What are you talking about?” Jared asked with worry.
“Don’t panic, Dee didn’t tell her. She just went and asked if there were certain things that could be done tomorrow night. If you want details, then talk to Dee,” Jensen stated as he pointed forward.
Jared followed his guide and smiled widely. Dee was sitting on a bench along the patio watched (Y/N) play with J.J in the snow. There was a snowman near them, wearing a black tophat Dee had purchased on their shopping trip yesterday. Jared couldn’t help how warm his heartfelt as he watched (Y/N) play with J.J, making him wonder how great of a mother she would be. He quickly shook his head away from the image, knowing if he could even dream of having a kid with her, he first had to gain the nerve to ask her out.
“Alright, you stay here while I take Dee inside to see what she has planned because I have a few ideas of my own.”
December 24th
It was the night of the Christmas party and Jared honestly was extremely nervous. After he pulled Dee aside to talk about her plans, he commented on a few things he had in mind, specifically a bit after the party. Dee made it clear that her plans meant for him and (Y/N) to go off alone during the party and to hopefully end Christmas Eve with a declaration. Jared wore his black tie suit and vest, combing his hair back with a bit of gel to keep it in place. Once he felt his nerves under control, he walked out of his room to the elevator. As he went down to the main lobby, he couldn’t help but fidget with his suit, double and triple-checking he looked good in the mirror wall surrounding the interior of the elevator. He reached the main lobby and made his way towards the grand hall where the party was being held.
As he entered the grand hall, his eyes went wide with the decorations. The company had gone all out for this party. The entrance was welcomed with a white branched archway with white lights circling around the branches. The walls were covered from top to bottom with white lights, making the room bright enough without the need for the ceiling lights. The tables were covered with white tablecloths just like the chairs, and the centerpiece was of a clear glass vase with white branches coming out of it, little crystals hanging from the ends randomly. There were many tables but space for a dance floor was made in the middle of the grand hall, the DJ booth along the far wall on a stage with two white Christmas trees on each side. From the ceiling hung different styles of crystals and snowflake-shaped decor, the entire room giving the feel of a white Christmas. Soft Christmas themed music was playing from the speakers, loud enough to hear but not too loud to overtake conversations.
“Hey, Jare! Over here!”
Jared turned to notice Jensen standing by a table where Dee, Misha, Vicki, Stephen, and Cassie were sitting. There were three empty seats there, so Jared made his way towards them. He greeted everyone and took the seat next to Stephen.
“No buffet but they have a menu of different meals for tonight's dinner,” Stephen pointed out. “At least they asked us before this trip what we would prefer to make the choices easier.”
“Dude, I saw steak on the menu, I am getting that,” Jensen laughed out loud, causing everyone else to join him.
“Has anyone seen…” Jared began to ask.
“Oh, (Y/N)! Over here!” Vicki waved towards the entrance.
Jared turned to look and he felt his mouth drop wide open, quickly closing it before anyone could notice. (Y/N) was smiled at them and made her way towards them. Jared couldn’t help but admire her beauty. She wore a wine red sleeveless lace dress with a high low hem that shaped her body. She wore black open-toed heels and sheer stockings. Her hair curled and pinned up in a messy updo, a few strands falling loose around her face. Once she reached the table, Jared noticed the silver dangle gem drop earrings she wore, the pearl hairpiece circling the back of her head, and the three silver bracelets on her wrist. Her makeup was simple, black eyeliner with a soft touch of shiny eyeshadow, but her lips were red just like her dress. Jared could only think of one word as he watched her greet everyone: beautiful.
(Y/N) looked at Jared and he saw the tint of red spread along her cheeks. Instead of removing his eyes from her, he got up and pulled out the chair next to her, greeting her with a smile. She muttered a thank you to him and sat down, her eyes peeking at him but quickly looking away since he never removed his gaze.
“Ahem, Jare, isn’t (Y/N) beautiful tonight? I mean she always looks beautiful but we never really get to see her dress up since she always spent the holidays with her family.”
“Yeah, Dee, she looks beautiful,” Jared admired.
“Thanks, Jared, it’s not much,” (Y/N) sighed.
Everyone looked at each other as they watched the two love birds interact but quickly moved back to their original conversation, beginning their orders as a waitress walked over to them to take their orders.
“You know, I would never lie to you,” Jared whispered to (Y/N) as he leaned in a bit closer once they placed their order.
“Oh I know, I’m just not used to being called beautiful, especially from a handsome man like you.”
“Then I should start saying it more so you don’t forget,” Jared flirted, winking at her and chuckling as she looked down at her hands, her face turning redder by the second.
The evening went perfectly. Dinner was delicious and everyone was happy from the wine and champagne being poured all around. Many others came to greet their table and sparked up conversations. But Jared’s main focus was (Y/N). He would flirt with her every now and then, telling her repeatedly how beautiful she was. They spoke of personal things they never really got to know throughout the years working together. Jared learned more about her in one night than he ever did in the past nine years. The more they talked, the more he fell in love with her.
After the tables were cleared of their empty plates, the DJ announced that the dancefloor was open and the music got louder. The first song that played was ‘The Christmas Song’ by Nat King Cole. Jensen, Misha and Stephen grabbed their partner’s hand and guided them to the dancefloor, wide smiles and laughter as they made their way to slow dance together. Jared stayed seated next to (Y/N), watching her from the corner of his eye as she swayed slightly in her chair.
“Will you come dance with me?” he asked abruptly.
“Really?” (Y/N) asked with a shocked look on her face.
“Yeah, let’s go,” Jared pushed with a smile as he grabbed her hand in his and pulled her from her chair, guiding her to the dancefloor.
Jared pulled her close, wrapping an arm around her waist as she placed a hand on his shoulder. He gripped her other hand in his and smiled down at her. Even in heels, the top of her head barely reached his chin. He began to dance, swaying along with the music and guiding her. He felt so happy to have her in his arms that it felt like the entire time they slow danced, they were the only ones in the room. Jared felt as she leaned closer to him, her face flushed red at her daring move. Jared edged her on as he tightened his grip on her waist, letting her know he was ok with their close contact. Before the song ended though, Dee made motions to Jared, pointing outside. He looked out the window and knew that his time for the plans to go into motion was right at that moment.
“(Y/N) would you mind joining me outside? I kinda have a surprise for you.”
(Y/N) looked up at him and nodded her head. He kept her hand in his and guided her towards the front entrance of the lodge.
“Wait, don’t we need our jackets to go outside?” she asked curiously.
“Trust me, we won’t need them. But do you mind if I cover your eyes before we go outside? It is a surprise.”
She nodded her head again, closing her eyes as Jared stood behind her, carefully placing his hands on her eyes. He began to shuffle towards the exit, guiding her with his voice. Once they were outside, he felt the cold air wrap around them, so he moved quickly to stand beside her, hands no longer covering her eyes.
“Ok, open them.”
Jared watched as her eyes opened and then grew wide in surprise. She covered her mouth as she looked up at him, a smile beginning to breakthrough. In front of them stood a horse-drawn sleigh decorated with holly and bells. But what made the moment perfect was that it was snowing, soft white pieces of ice falling slowly down from the sky. Jared grabbed her hand and guided her to the sleigh, helping her up into the big warm heated blankets that surrounded the inside of the sleigh. Jared joined her, sitting right beside her as he helped wrap her up. He pulled the big heavy blanket from the other side over them, finally wrapped in warmth.
Jared told the driver they were ready and the sleigh was put into motion, the bells jingling as they rode off into the snowy night. The driver guided the horse into the forest, where the lodging had placed dozens upon dozens of different light decorations along the road, giving a light show for anyone that went through. Jared and (Y/N) watched in silence as they rode through, Jared looking over at her constantly to make sure she was okay. The look of joy in her bright eyes, the white snow decorating her hair and lashes, gave him comfort as she looked at their surroundings. Everything was going perfect.
After about 20 minutes into the ride, Jared felt her touch his hand under the blankets. He looked over at her and noticed she was looking up at him.
“I appreciate this surprise, Jared. It’s touching to know you remember how I said two years ago, I always wanted to ride a horse-drawn sleigh as it snowed, just like they do in the Christmas Hallmark movies. Thank you for this moment, I will treasure it forever.”
“This isn’t the end of the surprise, I have more for us when we get back.”
Jared saw her shiver a bit as she smiled at him. Without a word, he moved closer to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. He pulled her into him, her head against his shoulder.
“Keep close, even with these blankets, it’s still a bit chilly,” he whispered in her ear.
She smiled and cuddled into him, making Jared’s heart skip a beat. They enjoyed the rest of the ride in silence, watching the man-made lights disappear behind them to enjoy the starry sky above the trees as the gentle ringing of the bells echoing into the darkness. They stayed close like that the entire ride, her hand eventually joining his free one on his lap. He held her hand in a gentle grip, his fingers sometimes caressing her palm before intertwining their fingers together.
Once they got back to the lodge, Jared helped her out the sleigh and they both thanked the driver before running back into the lodge, laughing like children. Jared then guided her towards the fireplace room with the wide windows. Thankfully, Dee handled everything for that room so everything would be ready when they got back. The fireplace was decorated with white fluffy stockings hanging from it, the fire already lit. A loveseat was pushed close to the fire and a small glass table stood between the seat and fireplace. On the table sat a metal teapot, a glass mason jar filled with powdered chocolate and another with mini marshmallows, a small bowl of sugar and two teacups with tiny spoons beside them. The entire room was dark except in that corner, so the falling snow outside could be seen clearly from the giant glass windows that covered the entire west wall. Blankets covered the seat and two pairs of fluffy boots waited on the side.
Jared pulled her with him towards the quiet corner, handing her a pair of boots to put on. Once their feet were warm, they sat on the sofa, wrapping themselves in the blankets, giggling like children as they settled in.
“Hot chocolate, miss?” Jared asked.
“Why I would love that, sir,” (Y/N) teased back.
Jared chuckled as he poured out the hot water from the teapot, preparing the hot chocolate. Once the cups were ready, he gave her one and added three marshmallows and a bit of sugar, just like he had seen her prepare it before. They enjoyed the warm drink and watched the flames dance in the fireplace. Once they were done with their drinks. Jared placed the cups back on the table and from his side of the couch, he pulled out a guitar.
“Is it ok with you that I sing a song? Fits right in with the weather outside and the entire lodge decoration.”
“Sure, I would love to,” (Y/N) murmured as she turned her body towards him.
Jared strummed the guitar, playing ‘White Christmas’. He then started to sing the lyrics, looking between her and the guitar, watching her admire him as he sang softly, his voice deep and sweet. Once he was done, he put the guitar to the side and smiled at her, receiving applause.
“You sang that song with Jason last year didn’t you? I have to admit, I had that song on repeat most of the holiday.”
“Thanks, it was my first time singing. Jensen and Jason are more of the musical talent.”
“Jared, your voice is beautiful.”
Jared smiled at her, looking at the grandfather clock behind her as he noticed he only had about 10 minutes until it was midnight. He got up from the sofa and headed to the fireplace, fooling with the bottom of one of the stockings.
“Is everything ok Jared?” she asked him, his back to her.
Jared took in a deep breath, trying to control his nerves. But he knew, it was now or never. And he didn’t want to mess up this chance he had.
“Everything will be ok once I ask you something.”
“I’m all ears, Jared.”
“You know, it's been about nine years since you started working for us,” he began, turning to face her. “And like we always say, we are grateful to have you in our lives, making things easier for us. Jensen loves how well you and Dee get along and honestly, you have become such an important piece of our little family.”
“I feel the same way, Jared,” she replied with a tilt of her head.
“But, personally...gosh, this is a bit harder to say….” Jared stuttered.
(Y/N) got up and walked over to him, taking his hands in hers as she looked up at him. The comfort she gave him calmed him down and he spoke up.
“These past years, you’ve become my best friend, my confidant and someone I can wholeheartedly trust. You have been beside me during the good times and the bad, especially the bad.”
Jared pulled her closer to him, gripping her hands tightly.
“You mean so much to me, so much that I want to become more than friends. (Y/N), you always ask me every year what is the best gift I’ve received during the holidays and honestly, it's always been your company and your beautiful smile. I can see what a kind soul you are and especially tonight, I was able to see how madly in love I am with you. You are the best thing in my life and I hope you will say yes to my question because not having you in my life would be horrible.”
“What is your question, Jared?” she asked softly, her lashes fluttering against her cheeks.
“Will you give me the chance to show you how much I love you and be my girlfriend?”
Before he could say another word, (Y/N) let go of his hands and grabbed his shirt, pulling him down towards her and placing a chaste kiss on his lips. Jared felt his insides burst like fireworks at the feel of her lips. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her as close as humanly possible, deepening the kiss. He felt such joy knowing she felt the same way, With just one kiss, she sealed the deal. He never wanted to end the kiss, to continue to taste her, but they eventually had to part for air. He looked down at her, her eyes shining brightly with the flames, hooded as her lashes grazed the top of her cheeks. Her hands were flat on his chest, a wide smile on her face.
He removed an arm from her, turning slightly to reach behind him in a stocking. He pulled out a small grey box with a white bow on top. Keeping her close, he handed it to her, leaning in close to whisper in her ear to open it. And when she did, her eyes grew wide in shock as a small gasp escaped her lips.
“Jared, you didn’t have to,” she sighed as she looked inside the box.
“I wanted to,” he reassured as he placed soft kisses along her face. “When I saw it yesterday, I knew it was perfect for you.”
Inside the box was a small silver necklace with a pendant. The pendant was shaped like a snowflake and it had diamonds encrusted into it. It shone so brightly by the fire when she pulled it out the box, admiring its beauty. Jared let her go and took it from her hands, turning her so he could put it around her neck. Once it was clasped on, she turned around to face him.
“It’s beautiful,” she gushed, her eyes watery with tears.
“I hope those are tears of joy,” he teased as he wiped away a tear that broke free.
“Of course it is, you giant teddy bear!” she exclaimed, hitting him on his chest.
Jared laughed as he pulled her in for another kiss, feeling her smile before she gave in willingly. He guided her back to the sofa and as he sat down, they broke apart so she could sit next to him, He pulled her into his body, cuddling as they enjoyed each other's closeness with kisses and hugs. Jared finally felt complete with her finally as his.
“I should thank Dee for helping out,” she chuckled as she pecked his nose.
“Wait, did she…” he stuttered.
“No, but figured she was working on something after so many prying questions. But I am glad she and Jensen moved us along because I don’t know how much longer I would have held back with this crush.”
Jared burst out laughing at her comment, enjoying the sound of her giggles as he pulled her into a hug.
“Yeah, will thank her tomorrow for sure.”
“I love you, Jared,” (Y/N) whispered in his ear before sliding her lips against his softly.
“I love you too, (Y/N),” he whispered back before he pulled her into a deep kiss. “Merry Christmas.”

My Masterlist
You were running into an airport shop, looking to see what you could buy. Your sister was right behind you, concern written on her face.
“They said you didn’t have to buy them anything, (Y/N), and you still got gifts for their children and their wives.”
“It wouldn’t be fair to not get them something,” you complained as you looked through the tourist items. “I’ve known them for years and this was the first Christmas we didn’t get to celebrate together. I can’t miss out on getting them a gift.”
“Well, we need to hurry up because our flight leaves in 20 minutes.”
“I’ll catch up, you go ahead and get us a spot in line once they call our section,” you waved her off.
As your sister walked away, you looked at the trinkets section you spotted. There hung a set of kokeshi dolls on chains, meant as a keychain. They were something specific from Japan and since it was a set of three dolls, you thought maybe it would be nice for all three of you to have one, as a symbol of your friendship just like the small tattoo’s you three had gotten a few years back on a crazy whim. They each had their own color and you couldn’t help but think how adorable they were.
‘They might like it,’ you thought to yourself. ‘I hope they like it.’
You grabbed them and a few other things and rushed to pay, running towards your terminal to not miss your flight back to Texas. You had 14 hours to convince yourself that the last-minute choice would be perfect.
You and your sister arrived in Houston safely and got some rest before driving to Austin to see the Ackles and Padalecki family. She assured the Kokeshi keychains were a good choice after your second-guessing, stopping you from rushing to the Galleria Mall to buy something else.
“You know they will be happy with whatever you give them,” she said trying to convince you.
You were both welcomed by all the children once you arrived at the Ackles home. Gen and Dani helped you both to unload the car, handing out gifts to the kids and their mothers. The kids were excited with all the Japanese treats and toys you brought them, Gen and Dani admiring the jade pendants you got them and the yukatas you got for everyone.
“Looks like you two had fun out in Japan,” Gen said as Dani tried on her yukata.
“Being winter, it was a bit chilly, but we had fun. We even got to see some snow,” your sister replied.
“We got to see so much of Kyoto and Tokyo before heading up north to Hokkaido,” you added.
“Wow, we should really do a family trip to Japan,” Dani stated excitedly as she came out in her yukata. “Fit’s great! You were right about going up two sizes. Will keep that in mind if we ever go.”
“We should all go during the spring,” your sister said. “The pictures (Y/N) have of the cherry blossom trees make the pricey tickets worth it.”
“We should talk to Jare and Jay, see if they would be up for the trip now that they have the time,” Gen said.
“What trip you girls talking about?”
Everyone turned to see Jensen and Jared standing there at the living room entrance. You smiled brightly as you saw the two men you considered as brothers, jumping from your seat and running towards them. You pounced on them, your arms going around them both as you pulled them into a big hug, their arms surrounding you.
“Missed you guys,” you mumbled.
“We missed you too, (Y/N),” Jared replied softly.
“Next time, don’t go on a trip for four months,” Jensen grunted.
“Well, then that means I have to quit my job as a youtube travel channel,” you chuckled as you let them go. “And this travel series is going to be my best one yet!”
“We can’t wait to see what you two did out there these past months!” Gen exclaimed. “I hope you got food reviews as well.”
“Trust me,” your sister giggled. “We got tons of food review videos to go through.”
As everyone settled down in the living room, you pulled out the two boxes for the guys, handing it to them. You watched as they opened their boxes, sake bottles inside.
“It has gold flakes inside the sake so don’t chug it down like beer,” you chuckled, pointing at Jensen.
He gave you a wounded face at your words, causing you to laugh out. As the guys were showing off their sake bottles to the women, you pulled out the small bag containing the keychains, wondering if you should really give it to them. You then felt a poke beside you. You looked up to see your sister smiling at you and giving you a wink. You nodded and smiled back. You turned back to the guys and pulled out the keychains.
“I didn’t just bring you guy's sake to drink. Gen and Dani have yukatas for you guys to wear.”
“Wow, thanks, can’t wait to try it on,” Jared said.
“But, I also wanted to get something significant, something meaningful.”
You showed them the three keychains.
“These are Kokeshi dolls hanging from the keychains. They are dolls made for children but they also take another significance. They are sometimes given as a token of friendship. I know I missed Christmas with you all this year, but I didn’t want to come back without gifts.”
You then gave them a big smile, feeling your heart warm up with emotions.
“And you two have been the greatest friends a girl can ever ask for. You are brothers to me, we have seen our highs and lows together. You both gave me cool sisters and awesome nieces and nephews. You welcomed my sister into our family and I am forever grateful for the trust and love you both have shown me. I hope with these keychains, just like our tattoos, we can keep them as a symbol of our friendship.”
Jensen and Jared smiled widely at you silently before moving over to you and pulling you into a huge hug. You felt your eyes water at the emotions rolling over you.
“We love you too, (Y/N),” Jared whispered to you.
“We are the lucky ones to have a best friend we can also call sister,” Jensen added.
They then let you go, smiling at you. You gave them each a keychain and kept one for yourself. They immediately took out their keys and put the keychains on, showing everyone the dolls. As they admired the gift, your sister came over and pulled you into a hug.
“Told you they would love it,” she chuckled.
“Yeah,” you chuckled back.
Jensen and Jared then turned back to see you and your sister hugging. They smiled and lifted their keys up to show you the little dolls. Then they spoke at the same time.

A/N: Yes a short one finally! Just forewarning, this has no spoilers on season 15, well if you haven’t watched the last episode of season 14 then it would be somewhat spoiler, BUT still putting the alert here JUST IN CASE. Nothing huge just a tiny mention of something. This was written for @supernaturaltropecelebration Christmas Mini Bang! I know there aren’t that many Jack fics but this trope just reminded me of how much he is a child sometimes and I just had to write this. Hope you all enjoy it!

You walked into the library to find Jack kneeling on the floor by the tree you had put up the week after Halloween, looking at the wrapped up presents there. You smiled to yourself as you watched him examine each box, knowing he was looking for the one with his name.
“What did I say about peeking at the presents?”
Jack jumped a bit and turned to look at you, his face flushed red from getting caught.
“I was just curious,” he mumbled as he got back up to his feet, pouting slightly. “Do we really have to wait until tomorrow?”
“Yes, Jack, it’s tradition.”
“Tradition kinda sucks right now,” he pouted, causing you to laugh.
Jack was behaving like a five-year-old he should have been if it weren’t for the fact that he was forced to grow up. Before you moved into the bunker, the Winchesters never made a big deal about Christmas. But once you found out about Jack’s upbringing and what happened with Chuck time ago, you knew you had to give the kid some good memories on these special holidays.
“Ok, I will allow you to open ONE present,” you began, seeing how the kid lit up at that news. “But you will open the one I say, and that will be it. Deal?”
Jack smiled at you and shook his head in agreement. You moved over to the tree and picked out Deans gift to Jack, knowing that he had gotten him a pack of socks since Jack had a habit of losing a pair every now and then. You bent down to grab the wrapped present and handed it to Jack, grunting a bit as you stood up straight. Jack was by your side immediately, helping you.
“Are you ok, (Y/N)?”
“Yeah, just getting harder these days to move around. But go ahead and open it.”
Jack quickly ripped the gift open, smiling at the sight of the socks.
“Dean got them for ya, they are even Star Wars theme since you really like that.”
“I love them! Promise I won’t lose these!”
“Ok, now why don’t you come and help me paint the room we are setting up?”
“Sure!” Jack exclaimed, taking hold of your hand and helping you to the spare room Sam and Dean had cleared out.
It was Christmas morning when the smell of bacon and coffee woke you up. You wrapped yourself up in a fluffy robe Sam had gotten you and made your way to the kitchen. Everyone was there having breakfast, including Cass who had arrived last night. Dean walked over to you with a plate in hand and placed his hand on your lower back.
“Babe, you should have stayed in bed.”
“I’m fine, and it’s Christmas Day. We have presents to unwrap.”
When Jack heard presents, he got up quickly and ran over to you, his eyes wide like a child.
“We can open them now?”
“Well, let (Y/N) eat first and then we can open presents,” Dean stated, trying to guide you to the table.
“I can eat in the library and you guys already finished. Let’s go open presents.”
Jack took your hand and walked with you to the library, Cass, Sam and Dean right behind you. Once Dean got you settled in a chair and everyone had their cup of coffee, Jack went straight for the presents, a wide smile on his face. He grabbed a box and turned to Sam.
“Thank you for the books, Sam! I can’t wait to read them!”
You looked at Sam, confused for a moment as Jack took out a set of books from the box Sam had them in. Jack did the same when he opened Cass’s present, which was a few items of clothing, mainly shirts with Jack’s favorite pop culture designs. As Jack grabbed hold of the gift Jody sent with Cass, you spoke up.
“Jack, sweetheart, how did you know what Cass and Sam got you before opening them?”
Jack’s smile dropped and he looked down at his lap.
“I couldn’t help it, I wanted to know what I had gotten, so last night I came in and peeked using my powers.”
You sighed and shook your head, understanding that he was still a child in some ways. You called him over and took his hand in yours.
“I understand you wanted to know. But I told you not to peek so you would get the surprise today. It’s a lot more fun when you are taken by surprise.”
“I’m sorry,” he responded softly.
“It’s ok, Jack, I understand this is your first Christmas. But let’s try to not peek next year, yeah?”
“We are still going to do Christmas next year?”
“Of course,” Sam answered for you. “(Y/N) loves Christmas and it’s nice being able to do it properly, and enjoy the holiday with family for once in our lives.”
Jack smiled at everyone, and when he looked at you, he wrapped his arms around you, hugging you gently.
“Thank you, (Y/N).”
“Always here for you, sweetheart,” you whispered to him.
Once you pulled apart, you kissed Jack on his forehead and let him finish unwrapping the rest of his presents. You whispered to Dean and he left the room, coming back with a small box in hand. You called to Jack and handed it to him.
“This isn’t much, but I thought you might like this.”
Jack quickly opened it and took out a photo album. On the cover was a family picture you took during Thanksgiving. Inside were pictures you took throughout the year of everyone. Pictures of dinners and fun moments throughout the entire year. Snapshots of everyone smiling to the camera and other pictures they didn’t even know were taken. It was at the end of the album that you knew would mean a lot to Jack.
There in the last few pages, there were pictures of you and Kelly back in your college days. Pictures of Kelly in her graduation gown and pictures of her before Lucifer got into her life. You could see the tears in Jack’s eyes as he looked at the pictures of his mother. He looked up at you and walked back to you, hugging you gently but filled with love.
“Thank you for the present, I love it, and I love you. You have been a great mother to me and I bet my mom would be happy to know you are with me.”
“I love you, to Jack. Always will and you have been the best son I could ever have.”
Jack kissed your cheek and walked over to Cass and Sam, showing off the album. You fought back the tears, blaming it on your hormones, as Dean leaned in and placed a soft kiss on your cheek.
“You are going to be an awesome mom.”
“I hope so,” you whispered back, touching your swollen belly. “You think Jack won’t mind if we name our daughter after his mother?”
“Bet he will love it. He already adores her like a big brother.”
“You hear that little Charlie Kelly Winchester?” you whispered towards your belly as Dean rubbed it with both his hands lovingly. “Your big brother Jack Winchester is going to love and protect you just like the rest of us.”
