These adorable Christmas tree cake pop cookies are a festive treat that combines cake flavors with cookie fun. Ideal for holiday parties and gifts!
Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix flavor of your choice. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 2 large eggs. 1 cup icing or frosting green. 1 cup candy melts assorted colors. Assorted sprinkles and decorations.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined. Scoop small portions of the cake mixture and roll them into balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake the cake balls in the preheated oven according to the time indicated on the cake mix box. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely. Crumble the cooled cake balls into fine crumbs using your hands or a food processor. Add about half of the green icing or frosting to the cake crumbs. Mix until the mixture holds together and can be easily shaped. Take small portions of the cake mixture and shape them into triangular cones resembling Christmas trees. Melt the candy melts in separate bowls according to the package instructions. Dip the bottom of each cake pop into the melted candy melts and insert a cake pop stick into the bottom. Allow the candy coating to set. Dip each cake pop into the green melted icing or frosting, allowing the excess to drip off. Place the coated cake pops back on the parchment paper. Use the assorted candy melts to create colorful decorations on the trees. Add sprinkles and other edible decorations to enhance the Christmas tree look. Allow the cake pops to fully set before serving or packaging.
