Why tumblr and Chrome hate each other?

Since yesterday I can’t use tumblr on Chrome, because it keeps refreshing the dashboard continually. Even if I’m on my activity page it sends me to the dashboard again and again.

It’s really frustrating.

If someone knows how I can fix it, I’ll give them my firstborn.

(I’m posting this from Firefox, and I hate to use Firefox)

Chrome problems?

Hey guys are you experiencing issues with Google Chrome? I can't log in using Chrome in my laptop, i am writing this on my phone app.

Okay, until I fix this shit with my chrome Im going to be using the app to post art and pictures. If you send an art request and you want a definite answer that I did it, please send it off anon and I’ll tag you in the post. I’m going to leave anon on because I know some people get nervous sending stuff off anon (myself included) but just sending it with your url visible is the best way to know if I’ve finished your request, unless you turn on notifications for my blog :’’’> Sorry guys, I’ll keep doing what I can to get it fixed

Also when I opened my browser today it’s saying something about this computer not receiving anymore updates because it’s Windows XP/Vista

I finally fixed that stupid Issue with Tumblr not wanting to load images in google chrome on the dashboard or any from certain servers. The problem was my Anti-virus, Kaspersky Internet Security 16. It was set to scan all networks for Encrypted settings. I went ahead and set it to DO Not Scan encrypted connections and the moment I refreshed my dashboard all the images started to load again.

So under the readmore I’ll show images of where to find the settings. Please note this worked for me and the problem I had with the browser Chrome and Anti-Virus Kaspersky Internet Security. This may or may not work with other browsers, anti-viruses and other versions of Kaspersky’s products. Also note I am in the US.

Ok so load up the anti-virus. 

Go to Settings > Additional > Network

Under the Encrypted Connection scanning; make sure the option “Do not scan encrypted connections” is clicked/filled in/ selected. 

One you refresh the page in tumblr everything should be loading again.

I recovered about half? I'm not sure why but the vast majority of my newer bookmarks I couldn't get back even after I figured out the password combo, and since my old laptop literally died on me I just got frustrated enough to let it slide

Ugh that’s super frustrating. Fortunately, I was slowly transferring back to Firefox anyway because I’ve had a lot of issues with Chrome after the last couple of updates, but still...all those saved passwords and my open tabs. Ugh. I mean, i didn’t have anything big in progress, but my open tabs were either tumblr posts to help reply to a couple of posts I have in my drafts or the website I’m working on for my mom.
