The sky was a pale grey, alight with the hidden sun. The morning air was chilled, offering swirling steam from the breath of those out amidst the cold. It was misting lightly, providing a humidity that had the Doctor’s blonde locks curling, but she didn’t mind the natural wave it produced within the hair that fell to her shoulders.
She stood at the doorway leading outside, leaned against its metal frame as she took a long sip of her coffee.
She was vaguely aware of Lena’s presence, after all, it was around the time most began to rise on base.
"I miss moments like this more than anything." She murmured idly, unsure if she was even heard. And really, she didn’t care if she was or if the statement was left to go unnoticed.
