Chronic pain is a bitch sometimes.
Confession #5,071
I’ve talked about my FAI (femoroacetabular impingement) and chronic bursitis/joint damage like…a year or two ago and how I was struggling to get my surgery…
I’m seeing a hip specialist at UTMB tomorrow and they’re going in with a scope to look at my joint.
Fingers crossed we figure it all out soon.
Confession #3,564
I’ve posted before about my woes of dealing with untreated femoroacetabular impingement, chronic bursitis, and cartilage tears in my right hip, but now I’m beyond pissed off.
So I had a doctor’s appointment the other day and I found out why nothing for my hip got done…including why I was denied representation for disability.
Turns out, they only have my MRI from 2014 on file…the very first one I got at 19-20 years old when the problem first started. Not the MRI that got me diagnosed and showed the damage to my joint or the two follow up ones. 😑
Like… I was going to this particular doctor’s office for my hip issues and yet they leave out CRUCIAL documents from my file??? I’m so done. I’ve needed surgery for years and all this time I thought it was just a network issue when in actuality they never bothered to keep the MRI my boyfriend’s grandparents paid out of pocket for.
Now I have to basically redo the entire diagnosis - getting the MRI, seeing the specialist, jump through the hoops all over again. They’re lucky I actually need updated imaging or I would have raised some serious hell.
