A sponsorship for an Overwatch revival - that was the dying wish of Rajendra’s late father Karikala II. Though he never explained why, he only assumed that it was for Sindhura Pte Ltd’s corporate social responsibility and PR purposes. The differences in ideals could not be more stark. For one, Karikala was a benevolent manager who cared for his citizens, whether they are human or omnic. But because he had spoiled his two sons - who were born one month apart from his polygamous marriage - they grew up to be quite cynical and bitter.
Rajendra recently managed to stage the murder of Gadevi, his half brother, and suppressed his remorse. He lied to his dad, saying that he had passed away from cardiac arrest, thus claiming the ownership of the company and the private city as well. He felt bad that he had to outright lie to his own father about the way his brother died, so this was his only way to try and ease the burden.
Arriving on the helipad of Overwatch’s base in Gibraltar, he emerged in a formal suit, decked out with expensive gold jewelry, crafted by fine Indian workmanship. Accompanying him are two bodyguards. He held a cheque in hand, and was told to wait for a contact person to pick it up. Perhaps he could use this time to take a look at the inner workings of Overwatch before returning to Sindhura.
Not long after, a figure in orange emerged, seemingly teleported to the roof from...wherever they were. He gave eye contact and asked, “Are you the correspondent of the Overwatch revival?”
