Familiar; it feels like an AU you'd have!

I absolutely have an AU that’s kind of like this already. Since I’m really into Tabletop RPGs I naturally have (several) Exalted AUs, one of which involves me being Bam’s Lunar Bond Mate… . 

So basically, in Exalted, there was an uprising of the Gods two ages ago, and they created the Exalted Shards, which I guess store part of their essence, and with the way things are set up, Solar Exalted are all paired with one Lunar Exalted. It’s a one way connection though – the Lunar Exalted feels a kind of pull towards the Solar, which can manifest in a variety of ways, especially when you bring in the past life connection that they shared, when the Solar was more deeply affected by a Great Curse inflicted by the Primordial beings they’d slayed in the name of the Gods, and so tended to be much more tragic, hard to handle figures… but in the case of myself and Bam, neither of us have memories of our last lives, so I’m just drawn towards being around him (and completely in denial that I’m falling in love with him) while he chases after Rachel (who is a Sidereal with deep connections to the Gold Faction, who all want to return to the glory of the First Age when Solars ruled over humanity. She’s not quite as on board with that as it seems, but she was part of a grooming effort for Bam, effectively, to make him in the image the Illuminated Cult was going for. It blew up in her face, though… anyway, because she’s a Sidereal, Bam is the only one who remembers she exists most of the time haha).

On the way, we meet up with a lot of strange people and get caught up in some revolution type deals. :|b
