There's an audible sigh that escapes from the raven's lips as he carefully lowers himself down on the rather large sofa, taking a place beside Kiwa as he gently shifted little Erina in his arms — slowly crossing one leg over the other as his free hand took hold of the small tea cup presented on the nearby side table — who would have known taking care of eleven children would be so difficult, especially when some of said children were old enough to pitch in? "Children are finally asleep so that means we have time to relax," he leans back into the backrest of the sofa, lulling his head to the side so it was now resting upon his shoulder. "I would not survive if you weren't here to help me out as much as you have been. I never predicted my life would turn out to be so... hectic like this." It was rather sad to think of how quickly his life had taken a turn for the worst, especially when he thought he'd finally found the one person who'd stay with him forever. But perhaps it was his own fault for getting so comfortable? After all, he's always lived a life of suffering so he should have known to keep his guard up. "I'm sorry that you have to be here so often though, I'm sure you'd much rather prefer to hang out with your friends than help a grown man wrangle his mess of children." { From Kumaroo to Kiwa like we talked about! }
❥ Kiwa was an incredibly busy woman. The beginnings of running her own business, still occasionally looking after her younger brother (and helping to put him through his college of choice), looking after seven pets. Yet still on top of all of that… always doing and taking on odd jobs. Running a small business wasn’t cheap, and hey, sure— she had her little side hustle to make extra to fund it. Just…. Who always had the motivation to set up for photo shoots and streams? Certainly not her.
… which makes it a really questionable choice for her to have stepped in as a babysitter for a man with not one, not two, but eleven children. Plenty of them were of an age to look after themselves, but plenty more weren’t. It was a lot of work, but she did enjoy it! Not only was she just.. admittedly, a very maternal woman, but she loved Kumaroo. Really, he’d become such a deeply important friend in her time working to help him out. This had certainly become much less about making an extra buck, and more so helping out a friend who needed it.
She settled back into the couch with a sigh, running a (very) cutely manicured hand down her face in exhaustion. “I mean this in like, tha nicest way possible, sweetheart…. But yer kids are fuckin’ menaces,” Kiwa huffed out with a bemused laugh, shaking her head. Seriously… it’s 11 pm!!!!! Go to sleep, children!!!
His words brought a pout to her lips, tilting her head in her friend’s direction on the couch to fix him with a playful glare. “Ay, ay! Ya are my friend, sweetheart. ‘M right where I wanna be! No self deprecatin’ on my watch,” she scolded, reaching a hand over to gently poke Kumaroo’s forehead. Right smack in the center. Really… she wasn’t the type to sit here at ungodly hours drinking (shitty) tea after hours of wrangling toddlers if she didn’t want to be there. She loved him, whether he wanted to acknowledge it or not. Just the way she loved every friend in her life.
“Soooooo…. Cheesy movie n’ dozin’ off on tha couch wit some tea time?”
